Was just thinking about vacation, as usual, instead of working hard, and this just hit me. I bought and paid for a package at Pop Century w/7 day water plus expiring theme park tickets beginning Fri 12/15.
Here is the problem: I am staying on rented points at OKW beginning Sun 12/10 then moving to Pop on 12/15.
(Duh Mary!) I cannot begin using my theme park tickets until the package starts on 12/15! I just called CRO and got a different answer three times, the ones that said, "no problem", I asked them to double check, and was disconnected (I think the CRO got flustered and hung up on me, and I don't blame her).
Finally got someone to help me. Am on the phone (holding) now. They had to cancel the whole package (I had a discount code found here on Dis). I had to re-book as room only and re-purchase theme park tickets separately. Not only that, I have to wait for the money I paid to "come back" to three different credit cards (actually "check cards") before I can buy the theme park tickets (again).
Luckily, the CRO found a room only code available, and it looks like the total cost will only be $16 more, so not too bad. I'm on hold now to see if she can get the "un-waiverable" insurance "waivered" - I am so glad at least, that I thought of this before arriving at Old Key West on December 10th!!! What kind of thorough Dis planner am I?? (I am so disappointed in myself). Don't let this happen to you!
Oooh - am off hold now, and guest svs waivered the insurance, thank goodness! -mary
