I'm confused... I've been members at message boards before, but I'm this one's got me stumped.

What in the world is "subscribing"????

When you subscribe to a thread, that thread will show up in your "User CP" page when it has new posts. Also, depending on your settings, you may get an email any time that thread has new posts.

You are normally subscribed automatically to any thread you start or to which you post.

If you go to your User CP page (by clicking "User CP" on the left hand side of the DISboards.com task bar, above), you'll be able to see which threads you're subscribed to, unsubscribe from any you wish to, etc.
 
It means they are subscribing to the thread cause it's a topic they want to follow, it will leave them email saying when others leave messages. That way if there is answer's to the questions like free dining or CRT or whatever they are wanting to follow they won't have to hunt for that thread. It will just show up in their email.
