So did anyone make any resolutions for scrapping into 2005?

I made a few! Which of course I do each year. But hopefully this year since I now have a scrapping space I can actually do it!

1. Complete this school year books by June 30th
2. Scrap our last Disney trip
3. complete last summers events
4. keep my layouts simple and do only one or two, two page spread for each event.
5. use the supplies I have on hand. And try all those kewl items I have been buying over the years!
6. Finish my Christmas album!

Doesn't sound like much! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

NEXT..........

My resolution is to simply START scrapping again! I don't think I got any pages done last year. This year should be much calmer and I'm in a town with several LSS's now.

Mine are pretty simple... to keep track of how many layouts I actually complete (easily done if I post all my totals to the challenges here each month). My other goal is to use my stash. Not really to get rid of it, but to stop saving the stuff for the perfect layout

To sum it up:

Keep track of layout numbers
Quit saving embellishments for the perfect layout and USE THEM!! LOL!!

Mine are to finish my FIRM trip book (almost there)
2. Catch up on my youngest son's school book
3. Finish my wedding book
4. Do my Niagara Fall trip book

I hope to do this all by the end of March

After that I am just not sure yet. I can't plan that far out in advance or I may get to overwhelmed :)

Good luck to all of you, in keeping your resolutions!

My scrap resolutions are :
Set aside time just for scrapping, I usually scrap while doing other things like cleaning and laundry.
Get my scrap area organized.. maybe get some new storage for paper.

Mine are

1. To finish my WDW trips from 2004 before we go in 2005. (yikes that's in 60 days)
2. To continually work on my Mom's pictures. In 1965, hope to get to 1991 when the first Grandchildren were born.
3. To not get more that a year behind on my own books. That's always been a goal and have acheived it for the past 5 years.

I too made some scrapping goals this year.
First......Finish the Orlando vacation from May/June 2004. I'm on day 5 right now which is Blizzard Beach and actually I'm getting some great ideas so hoping it'll continue. I'd like to have it done no later than end of April so I can share w/relatives during Easter dinners.

Second....To start an album for my work. Since I'm a home based travel agent and think it's really important to take my customer service experience a step beyond the average travel agent, I want to make an album of all of my travels in the last 10 yrs. I think it'd be really helpful when trying to sell a cruise to have the actual pictues of the cabins, ships, food, dinning rooms and common areas of some of the major ships and cruise lines for clients to see. My family laughs at me b/c I actually take pictures of the closets and bathrooms but to us girls that's a really important thing!! So, as soon as I finish my Disney album I'm going to go back and find the album from my trip to Cancun we went on in 98, the last 3 trips to Key West between 2000 and 2004, the ship inspections I went on in May of 99 and ship inspections from this year when I went to Ft Lauderdale in December. I have too many pix to do the Puerto Rico and Jamaica pictures over but at least they're in nice albums altho they aren't "scrapped". And of course I'll have my Disney and Universal album(s).

Third.....work on family album and try to get through Dec 2004. I'm on Fall 2003!! So many soccer pictures to do!!

Boy, I sure have some high hopes!!

Good luck to everyone!!

I am determined to finish re-doing DS's baby book, Do my Disney vacations and then catch up on my reg. photos. My friend who got me into scrapping is all caught up with her pictures!

My goals are to finally finish my Disney Cruise scrapbook...the cruise was in June and I'm only about half done (and it was only a 3 night cruise!!!). I also need to get caught up on my youngest daughter's book. She is very active in high school and I've been scrapbooking all of the stuff that she has done. I haven't done any more pages in her book since the middle of last school year. After that, I'm going to start scrapbooking a small Mickey scrapbook (8x8) that my boss gave me for my birthday. I'm going to do 20 years of visiting Disney (or basically watching my girls grow up through their Disney trips!).

My Scrapping Goals for 2005:

1)To Scrap at least Once a Week

2)To Get caught up on my kids albums

3)To cut down on the swaps I sign up for

4)To use my supplies - not just shop for more

5)Accept that when I go to crops - its a social event - I am not going to get any scrapping done!!!!

Oh there is SOOO many!!

1. Finish Disney Books
2. Finish 2004 Book
3. Organize better, still takes hours to find something!!
4. Teach more classes
5. Learn more techniques on getting pages done quicker but still looking nice as well!!

Wow, this is a great thread. Here are mine:

1) Stop reading so much about scrapbooking and actually do it!
2) Catch up on the past two years' worth of pictures.
3) Get organized and think about scrapping for others.

I cancelled all but one of my magazine subscriptions so that's a start on #1. I organized all my 2003 and 2004 pictures so that's a start on #2. If I can finish #1 and #2 this year maybe I can think about #3. People keep telling me they would pay me to scrapbook for them and I have to keep saying no!

Wow great thread. My goals are to really start back into scrapping. I did great doing my engagement book but have basically only been collecting the pieces since then. I'm going to work on books for my sister, my wedding, my honeymoon and my grandmothers first trip to WDW. Thats alot of scrapping to do but since I've got a space now once its organized I'll be all set to go.

Let's see,

Before Christmas and my new scanner:

1. Do Christmas Album
2. Sort remainder of photos
3. Stay current with this year's trips

Now, I have to add scrapping about 300 more slides turned jpegs! Exciting, yet rather overwhelming! I'd love to do a book of those for my parents, but my mom's retired and has an awesome new scrapping area. So, she'll have to fend for herself this time!

My first and most important goal is to get my custom scrapbook business up and running, just went to the township where I live today to find out what I have to do. Secondly, is to get my website up where I can post example layouts. Third, and actually, I'll get this goal done first, is to finish the album I am making my for brother, got about 3 double layouts to go. It's a surprise for him. We took his son with us to WDW about 18 months ago, and my brother coulnd't go, so I made a scrapbook for him about his son's Disney adventure. It's coming out great, and it's a surprise. I just didn't think it would take me this long to finish, but it has tons of pages, cause I just have a hard time leaving pictures out, plus I'm such a perfectionist that sometimes I drive myself crazy. I figure it will be good advertising for my business, so it has to look great. Fourth is to force myself to not worry about cleaning the house, etc. first, before I scrap. For some reason I feel guilty if the laundry isn't done, etc., even though DH tells me to go scrap!! He insists on it. He is a great guy, is really interested in my craft, and is helping me establish my business.

Mine are pretty simple.

1. Get DS's high school photos up to date (and then stay on top of that!) by the end of this school year. He will graduate in 2006 so that is a top priority!

2. Keep both kids' Scout books up to date. DS is (with the 3 pages I did last night) and DD should be with just a couple of events to do and I hope to do those this weekend.

3. Start DD's high school albums and have that up to date by December.

4. After that....well I start backtracking to all those older photos! I'm planning to leapfrog backwards. For instance, DS's middle school - DD's middle school - DS's elementary - DD's elementary - DS's baby/preschool...you get the idea.

After reading these posts I realize my goal needs to just get my rear in gear and get some scrapping done!!!!!! LOL

My goal is to get our 2003 Cruise book done and start on my dd's pictures from birth to now - she's 15!!!! On the cruise book I'm getting ready to start day 3 of the cruise. I was so proud of myself for getting 20 pages done during a few hours on Saturday and about 4 hours on Sunday. I was very very proud of myself.

My first goal is to get my Christmas decorations put away. My scrapbook area was pushed aside to accomodate our tree, etc. I hope to have all this cleaned up, packed away, etc. by the end of tomorrow. Then, I can start scrapping again! I want to continue creating pages with my old photos.

My goodness, I didn't even realize the dis had a scrapbooking board. Hello to you all!

Anyway, my 2005 goals are
1. Finish at least 1 layout a week
2. Catch up on all of my albums (wedding, Dd's and family)
3. Start a Disney album from our last trip
4. Keep more in touch with my clients
5. Keep my area clean!
