Since discovering Scrapbuck, I have placed several orders with them and have been very, very pleased with their products, speedy delivery, and free S&H on orders over $20..

However, when my last order arrived some of the packages of page protectors I ordered were kind of "rolled" to fit in the box with the other items and I had to lay them out flat and place some heavy books on them for a couple of days to remove the "roll".. I was about to order some additional page protectors and decided to send them an email first to ask if they could be sure that they were shipped in an appropriate size box so they would be flat when they arrived.. Not even ten minutes later, I received an email from them indicating that they were going to replace the 10 pkgs. I had already received - free of charge (no need to return the others) - they would be sure to send them in an appropriate box - and I would have them in two days!!!! I was totally shocked - because I wasn't looking for any compensation - just assurance that my next order would be shipped in a box where page protectors (and some paper that I was about to order) would arrive in good condition.. I immediately sent them another email - complimenting them on their awesome customer service - and assured them that they would have me as a frequent buyer.. True to their word, the 10 pkgs. of page protectors arrived in 2 days -wrapped securely in brown bag paper - and placed in a perfect size box! Amazing!! :goodvibes

Needless to say, I'm very, very impressed and will continue to buy from them on a regular basis..:thumbsup2

Now - for my two questions.. Although I have already done several pages in my Disney December 2006 scrapbook, I still have some additional prep work I need to do with a number of items..

Is it possible to iron paper and paper napkins without ruining them? And if so, how would I do that? Lay them between sheets of waxed paper; cover them with a cloth; or what? I want to use a bunch of the receipts that I saved - as well as the napkins from MVMCP - but they're wrinkled to the point where they would look awful in the scrapbook..:( Any suggestions?

Also - if I can find a free Disney font, how do I download that so that it will appear in my Microsoft Works program where I do my typing?

Thanks in advance! :goodvibes

I think regular paper and napkins would be fine as long as the iron is on a low setting (no steam). Maybe just put another sheet over it just in case. I would be surprised if the reciepts could handle an iron. Most reciept paper is thermal and turns brown or black when exposed to heat. I've had it happen to reciepts that I left in my car. That said, it would depend on what Disney uses in their registers. maybe trim off a small piece from the bottom and test it?

Back to Scrapbuck again - I placed another order this morning and about an hour later I received an email - apologizing profusely that due to the current storm conditions their orders could not be picked up for shipment today - but they would be sure to get my order shipped out tomorrow.. The customer service with these people is above and beyond any other business (Disney included!) that I have ever dealt with..:thumbsup2 They will certainly have my business for a good long time to come! Love everything I have received so far and the prices just can't be beat.. :goodvibes

That is wonderful! I will have to check them out when I get back from WDW!

I have been very happy with the stuff I've gotten from them at CKC. I actually need to get more glitter pens this year since I've used them so much!

Not that I need to spend anything:rolleyes1 but I wonder if they ship to the UK?

First of all.... as far as the receipts go.... a PP mentioned that they are usually thermal paper that reacts to heat. That is generally true. If you want to keep the originals, consider putting them in a pocket page rather than displaying them on a page. But do know that they will degrade over time and eventually (sooner rather than later) become unreadable. If you want to keep them indefinitely, I would consider making paper copies of them (either in a copy machine or scanning them).

For the napkins.... unless they are totally crumpled, it would seem like just adhering them to a page would smooth them out enough. You COULD try ironing them.... I've ironed paper in the past many times. Again, you could keep them in a pocket page and not have to worry too much about what they look like. I've done it both ways... I've displayed them on a page and put them in a pocket page.

Thanks for the heads up about Scrapbuck. I need to find a new source for adhesive and page protectors. They are FAR too costly at the local stores... and I hate the "one coupon per person" rule. BTW, glad to see you around! ................P

I download the font file to my desktop, then open the file, it is usually a compressed file. Then you will need to find the font folder, usually found in your control panel and add the new font to this folder. It should then appear in your Word font list.

Thanks so much! I'm sorry I didn't get back to this thread sooner, but when I'm in "scrapbook mode", I spend very, very little time on my computer at all.. Since I can only scrap while I'm at DD's for the winter (not enough room to drag all of my scrap supplies with me when I move back to the lake from April through November), I try to devote every single spare moment to scrapping whatever book I happen to be working on..

I'll give your suggestion a try and see how it works out..:goodvibes

Thanks again! :)
