Scrapbooks?

I was at DLR this past week, and discovered that there were no 12x12 scrapbooks to be had for love or money. I was SO hoping for a 60th anniversary one, but would have settled for just the standard "Disneyland 2015" version. But nothing. Not one. I've always gotten them at World of Disney before - what gives?

Poster Carissa1970 on my trip report very recently took some time on her own trip to check on this very issue for me. She reported her answer in post 296 here:

Basically they think everyone has gone digital and there just are none to be found. I'm just as sad about it as you are. I felt the same way, wanting a 60th Anniversary one, but willing to settle for a 2015 one..... but apparently there are none to be had.

If anyone sees any, I would love to hear about it.

I will add that I did find 12 x 12 WDW scrapbooks when we were there in June, but because it was a brief visit, I only wanted 8 x 8, and of course those didn't exist any more. If I knew then that the 12 x 12's were going away, I might have settled for one. But I really want a 12 x 12 DL one and don't think I'll be finding one. I've been scrapping with Disney parks books for over a decade and am sad it might now come to an end.

Well, phooey. I don't want to go with a generic Disney one, but I guess I have no choice.

If you hear anything different, please let me know and I'll do the same.

I'm really disappointed with this as well.

Amazon does have some Disney 12x12 albums including one called Disney Memories which has a castle on the front that looks a lot like the 60th anniversary decorations.

Alas, I used the Disney Memories one for our 2012 cruise. Also the "What a Trip!" one, which I used for our 2013 DLR trip because I was a relative newbie to Disney vacationing and didn't know that I wouldn't be able to find the album outside the parks without it costing an arm and a leg.

I used the Disney Memories one as the second book from our 2012 trip.

Thanks for the suggestion though!

Yes, I am super disappointed by the lack of scrapbooks, especially for the 60th. Disney really dropped the ball on this one.

But, I am going to make my own using my Silhouette and either a Simple Stories album or vinyl on a leather one.
