I bought a complete set of disney scrapbooking items to take with me to complete a book while on the trip. Does anyone know if I take pictures with a digital camera, is there somewhere on board where I can print pictures?

Thanks!

I know you can convert the photos over to CD at Shutters, but am not sure about the printing capabilities.

My friend is an avid scrapbooker & she got me started. We feel like we'll be missing out on the actual cruise if we scrapbook while there. We'll save that for the likely blizzard we will return to in Indiana in Jan. However, we have begun buying scrapbook supplied for our trip already!

I agree, I love to scrap book, but I take a day and do the book when I get home. I have way too much SB scrap that I love to use, there is not way I would drag it all along. I can't think of a good area to SB while on board... :confused3

I love to scrapbook but would never dream of doing it on the cruise. I would not want to miss all my opportunities of making memories and taking pictures. Last thing I would want is to spend several thousand dollars and spend my time scrapbooking.

Ok...I'm a little lost here...how do you scrapbook onboard??? I'm an avid scrapper and first of all, most of us are pretty messy (not the book, the surroundings when scrapping). Secondly, where would you do it? Are you planning to do it in your stateroom? Not enough room. On the verandah or up on deck, all your stuff will end up in the drink. It's windy out there. I LOVE to scrapbook, love it, love it, love it but I also LOVE cruising and never the two shall meet onboard. However, we returned May 14th and I've worked on my scrapbook almost every day since. I saved everything and now have the time to spread out, think about and create FABULOUS (well, nice anyway) pages. IMO, leave your scrapping stuff at home, take your camera, lots of memory and have the time of your life. Scrap it all as an extension of the cruise when you return home. I relive it with every page I make. Enjoy!

I've never cruised (I am in Dec.2005) however I scrapbook and I would never think of dragging everthing on an airplane, to WDW then to PC for a cruise. I would loose it, bend it, and then not have time to do it. I agree. Leave it at home and use it to remember in the weeks to come.

I had a friend who made the pages for her album ahead of time and then printed out the pics on her own Kodak printer. She wanted to do this because it was a gift for her family who went on the trip with her and the way she did it most of the work was in advance.

I am also a scrapbooker, and I cannot imagine trying to scrap on the cruise. But if you are determined to do this, I would suggest you invest in one of the compact photo printers. If you have a camera that is pict-bridge enabled, you could get one of the tiny photo printers that prints 4x6 photos without needing a laptop.

If you don't know what I am talking about, here is an article: http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/cat/-12967/edOid/105502/rpem/ccd/lookLearn.do

Me personally, I brought a heavy plastic portfolio to stash all the keepsakes that I wanted in my scrapbook --- Navigators, photos from Shutters, etc. That way they were all together and stayed in good shape. I scrapbooked when I got home.

Good luck and happy scrapping.

To answer your question, yes, Shutters will print out your digital pictures...they are $0.45 each (I think). The quality is okay. I had just bought my digital camera on board when we were on the REPO cruise so I printed out some of my pictures before we went through the Panama Canal to make sure I knew how to use the camera. When I got hom I re-printed the pictures to scrapbook and the quality of the pictures from the local photo lab was far superior to the ones done on the ship. I found the ships pictures "dark" compared to the local photo lab.

We also scrapbooked on the May Repo cruise....we had a blast and took over the Promenade Lounge for part of an afternoon...I agree with everyone else...unless it is a gift for someone...leave your stuff at home and take your camera and a journal. Use your camera to capture all the great memories and use your journal to record your memories. Scrapbooking at home after the cruise does allow you to re-live your cruise over and over again!!!!!!!!!!!
