I understand some scrapbooking supplies are available in the ship gift shops (albums, etc.). Does anyone remember seeing the mickey mouse decorative scissors? Also, any cruise specific stickers or embellishments?

We don't sail until late January 2005, but I'm already planning the scrapbook!

Bump for MamaCrush, who gets on the Magic the day we get off!

There is a scrapbook that says Disney Cruise Line and the year. It includes a packet of scrapbook paper, stickers, etc. There is also an additional packet that you can buy. If you are interested in these, buy them right away! On our 7 nite in March, they ran out of the packets and were getting low on the books. I saw the scissors when were at DL last month and got them there. Don't remember seeing them on the ship.

Welll thank you for the tip to buy early - I am just starting in scrap-booking and if I purchased the pages and things early - I know DH would start wondering (loudly) why I need to get the stuff right away. I will read this thread out loud to him tonight while he is watching TV so I can say to him "Don't you remember that I read it to you off the DIS Boards? Well I will have to also check the stuff out at MGM as well as we plan on a day there too before the cruise. ;)

I want a scrapbook as well. When do the gift shops first open onboard? Anyone know? Thank you

Looking at some of my old navigators, I think the shops open around 6 pm the first night on most sailings.

I have not seen the packets--I'll have to look for them on board!!

Does anyone know what size the Cruise Line scrapbook is? I have read some older posts that say they are 12 x12 and some recent cruisers say they are 8 1/2 x 11. Can anyone who recently purchased one onboard tell me what size they are now??

Thanks! :wave2:

I too am interested in buying a scrapbook onboard. I have just recently started scrapbooking and the DCL scrapbook will probably be my first "big" challenge so I need all the help I can get. Anyhow, I was at Michaels yesterday and they have some cute stickers and paper with Disney characters. They had one pack with Mickey and Goofy with snorkeling equipment on! I bought that, vacation themed and Mexico themed stickers also since we are the Western. I also purchased a pack that has FLORIDA spelled out with palm trees and bathing suits. Wish me luck.

As usual, you guys are great! I can't WAIT to get my hands on those scrapbooking supplies. Sad to say-- but I'm already planning the pictures I want to take and what my layouts will look like!

I'm really salivating over the Mickey scissors, however and from what I understand they only sell them at the parks. However, I did find them listed on a certain auction website, if anyone else is interested. (Don't worry-- they have more than one set and they're a set price so we won't be cutting each others' throats to get our hands on them! ;) )

I am also a scrapbooker. We are not planning on Going to WDW/DCL until March 2006 (reservations not made yet) and I am also thinking about our scrapbook. I work on my son's all the time and so I spend a lot of time (and money) at Michael's craft store. I am already so excited about our first disney scrapbook. I am also interested in purchasing the book on board because I think it will be a great souvenier.
