This is something Id LOVE to get into but I dont even know where to start! Whats the best software and should I get a high end printer that prints photo quality or is my little $70 HP good enough?????

I'm not into this, but I had my share of printing photos at home while owning a High-End Photo printer... after it went obsolete I gave it up. too much $$$ for ink, paper, dealing with dried up ink if I haven't done it in a week or too.

Never looked back since photo printing is so much cheaper, just need to find a place that does a good job.

in you case you could use any service that does print Photo Books, some do better then others, please compare.

And for software??? Check it out HERE:

I use Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. There is a bit of a learning curve to the programs but once you figure it out, it's a lot of fun and there is so much you can do with them. Elements is a good program to start with because it's a lot cheaper but still very powerful :)

As for the printer... I think if you are going to print your pages out, you are definitely going to want something that can make decent looking photos. If you like the way your photos print out on the one you have currently, then it's probably good enough. A lot of digital scrappers I know though don't even bother printing theirs out, they just share them online with people. I do print mine out in 8x8 on a decent printer, but it's not like crazy high end or anything :D I would probably wait to decide you even want to print yours out before changing printers. Also, you may decide you would like to have them in 12x12 and then you would need a different printer.

Good luck with it, it's a fun hobby!! :D

Creative Memories has some awesome new scrapbooking software. It's easy to use and you can print your scrapbook pages (in various sizes) out at Costco, or have them mailed to you. I made calendars for Christmas gifts. They were inexpensive and looked great!

OP-I bet you could find some good info on the Creative board-- they have a whole section for scrapbooking!

I've asked the girls over there some questions and they are FANTASTIC and seem to know everything about scrapbooking!!

Good luck!
