Just thought I'd see how everyone is getting on with their latest projects

What are you all up to - anyone found any exciting new goodies?

I thought this link might be useful to some of our newbies - it is a thread that is stuck at the top of the Scrapbooking Forum which has tons of information on it and a really great resource. Check it out

Ive added my latest layouts and cards to my Albums which are held on Epson - and I have now put the links in my signature if anyone is interested

Do many of you take part in the swaps that go on over on the US SB forum? I know that Bev does, but does anyone else?

Dont forget if you've got any queries or questions, suggestions or things to show us - just start a new thread and head it up SB Group - so we all know to look.

i'm waiting for another delivery from Scraptastic, so that i can finish my swap stuff for the UKScrappers swap. I am quite pleased with how it is coming together, which is of course, totally different from how I had planned it, so I now have a surplus or card/paper that I had planned on using, and have had to order different card. No surprise there really.

In the meantime, I've done a couple of layouts of the Northern Meet. I would like to do a couple more tonight, but was up till 2am finishing them off last night and am a little tired tonight, so I may have to have an early night instead.

I've done a couple of swaps on the US Boards, but I am going to stop as they always seem to be for lots of pieces, and I get bored making 26 or 30 of the same thing. I am trying to remember that resolution when I see the new swaps posted.

Other than that, not much exciting, except I have discovered www.scrapjazz.com and have decided to post my layouts there rather than 2peas because it's much friendlier. You can see the Northern Meet Layouts there.

Also - I've booked to go to Bonanza in October, which is a scrapbooking convention near Milton Keynes. Now that I've decided to go, I'm getting really excited about it.

Thanks for all the info Janice. Looked at your pictures, they are excellent. Can i use some as future inspiration. Loved the portrait of James aged two. Saw your cards too. May give this a go much later as it seems so linked to scrapbooking.

Thank you Theresly - glad you liked them, and of course, sharing ideas and grabbing inspiration is what it's all about, so feel free

Glad you found the info useful too - I often refer back to look up a technique or try something new

I started off with Cards, very basic and they have developed alongside my Scrapbooking - it is an excellent way to use up scraps etc.

I have to say that I get a lot of pleasure from making a card and seeing the person's face when they realise it was made 'specially' for them - that is nice

Hi everyone
I'm also waiting for a delivery from Scraptastic to finish the journalling on my wedding album I started at the crop weekend. I'm really pleased with the way it's turned out and may (DS willing) post it soon. By the way we've been married 19 years so the journalling will tell the true story of our wedding not the fairy tale one LOL

I've been given a load of old photos going back to 1898 by my father and have done one layout of my great grandmother at aged 17. Looking forward to doing more heritage layouts but not sure whether to stick to one colour scheme or mix and match. What do you think?

Half completed a layout of snorkelling piccies taken at Discovery Cove last summer. Waiting for some more beads to finish it. Funnily enough they're the same beads Bev used on her Northern Meet layout.

Finished the swap and the items are in the post. Not too happy with them but can't put my finger on what exactly is wrong. Hope nobody is too disappointed
