Sorry to hijack your threads Janice but I'm interested in the computer fonts that Fiona talks about in her layouts.

Where do you get them from? To buy or free? (preferably free I've a big holiday to pay for next year LOL)
How do you use them?

LOL Christine!! I don't buy fonts or paper piecing patterns!! Some to be going on with, Bev will have loads bookmarked!!

Fontparty seems to have expired, which is where I found the Waver Font. Search the 2 peas site for font info too, some sites are a nightmare to work from, and I still find the downloading, unzipping and uploading to my fonts directory slightly confusing!! (DH needs to be on call occasionally!)

Don't forget all the fonts on Word too!! My favourite is Kid Print!!

Christine - please dont apologise :)

These threads are for anyone who is interested and the more the merrier. I just head up them with "Scrapbooking Group" so that those interested can look at them straight away and those that are not interested in anything 'Crafty' can avoid them like the plague! LOL

I am interested in the Fonts too - :D :D :D :D

actually I don't have many font sites bookmarked.

I do like Lettering Delights, I think its www.letteringdelights.com but that's off the top of my head - they SELL fonts I'm afraid, I've bought a few, they are about $2 each but you have to buy 5 or there is a service charge. They sell all the CK fonts that you see in magazines, plus others. I used to like Font Party but it seems to have gone belly up.

I have a lot of fonts - I bought and was given some CK font disks and to be honest I use very few of them. I like Scrap Sweetness or CK Journalling for a font that looks like handwriting. CK Cursive is nice but you see it on every third layout now, so I've gone off it a bit, and Andy (like ToyStory Andy) is nice for a Kids Font.

Girls are Wierd is very very popular - it was on Font Party, but if you google and type in 'font' and the font name it will usually find it for you.

I have now started using templates a lot, which is a complete turn-around to when I first started. ScrapMagic have a great pack of 5 templates for £11, in 3 sizes (so yes I had to buy 2 sizes!) and I've been using those since I bought them.
