I have very limited space in my house and have not been able to scrapbook properly. It takes forever to pull everything out and then put it back. I was looking around the internet today and came across a site that sells a scrapbooking organizer disguised as a piece of furniture. It is called The Minibox. Very cool! However, cost is a little high for me right now. Wondering if anyone has seen this type of thing maybe for a little less money? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't seen anything marketed for scrapbooking that doesn't cost a fortune. I would check around and see if you can find anything similar at a local furniture or office store. Now that you have an idea of what you are looking for maybe you can find something similar.

I use a desk I bought at a second hand store that has hanging folders for paper. It only works for 8 1/2 x 11 paper, but since I make cards too I have quite a bit of that. Also I store idea books and other things in the drawers.

Good luck!

A lot of the ladies use priority boxes to store paper and stuff. I've got a few for paper stacks and my packs of pages and page protectors ready for albums. I've also used pizza boxes for cardstock etc. and make-up bags (the sort that come free with sample sizes in them) for stamps, inks etc. I've also appropriated a very small plastic cabinet (frm Ikea) with 2 drawers for my punches and two shelves for all the afrementioned bags:thumbsup2 DS(16) doesn't need it (so I told him:rolleyes1)

I had a friend who bought sort of an all-in-one computer desk/hutch that had shelves with doors on the top and 4 drawers on the bottom and she put that in her dining room (similar wood to the other furniture in there) and it worked well for her. She got it at a garage sale for like $25. Like a PP said, now that you have an idea of what you want you may see it cheaper somewhere. I went through a couple different furniture lay-outs for my craft room before I found the perfect furniture so I say don't rush it and wait until you find exactly what you want.
