Scrapbooking Autographs and Epcot WS

I'm not going to be doing a lot of character meet and greets, but for the ones that I do I want to create a scrapbook page with a picture of the character and me and their autograph. I saw that a member on here used "tag" die cuts and was thinking about doing something similar...how big should they be for the characters to sign? Another idea I had is to use tear-away colored index cards/card stock that are bound.

Also what would be a good way to scrap the World Showcase? Has anyone (or do they still have) the "wishing tales trading cards" from each country? I originally wanted to try and use charms from each country but I guess that's not an option anymore.

Hi. I scrapped a 6 x 6 album before going down. On each page was a 4 x 5 1/2 card for the character to sign. Now I can remove the pages from the 6 x 6 album and put them in my 12 x 12 album along with the picture taken with the character.

For World Showcase pictures I look for stickers and embellishments in the travel theme. You can find many embellishments for most of the countries of World Showcase.

I've made our autograph books for the last 2 family trips and another for DS and Dneph's trip with the grandparents.

The original book was an artist sketch book that was 4 1/2" x 6". I covered the front cover and made it Disney. For the boy's trip, I broke apart the original book and had mat board cut to the same size. Using my crop-o-dile, cardstock, and squeeze binding, made an identical book for Dneph and refilled DS's book. For our 2nd family trip (this past September) I did the same, but this time creating a book for DD. After talking to DS, he wanted a new book as his original book was definitely showing it's roadscars... I was able to pull off the paper and recover the book.

P.S. - WHATEVER YOU DO SIZE-WISE...

Just make sure to wrap up your book in a ziploc bag to protect it from pesky FL pop-up showers and wet rides. Our books fit with room to spare in quart baggies.

If you don't want to make a book, you can buy small autograph books in the parks (or at Disney stores I believe, definitely online too) and they are approximately 4x6" too.

For our last trip I used the spiral bound 3x5 index cards. They were a perfectly fine size. I had the character sign on the non-lined side. Then when I got home I ripped out the pages and incorporated them into the pages of my 12x12 album.

For Epcot, DH and I took a night and explored each country in depth. We had DS pose with a young lady from each country and asked her to sign his book. All but one signed in her native language and they made wonderful keepsakes. When it came time to scrap I did a page for each country. I put the picture and autograph and used either packaged embellishments (good luck finding Norway or Morocco) or Cricut cuts. This made almost an entire album in my 3 album set for the last Disney trip! For the opening page of that section I made a page that had a huge globe on it and put, "I've been all around this great big World and I have seen all kinds of girls." It came out really cute!

I've never made an autograph book before so I can't comment on that but I did do a 2-page layout for each of the 11 countries on my 2007 trip. Unfortunately, I've never heard of the wishing tales trading cards, but one thing I did add from each country was one of those pressed pennies. I love all of your pages! Thanks for the inspiration! I think I am going to do a book of index cards. The ziploc bag is a great tip...I would be heartbroken if my Woody signature was ruined!

I like the pressed penny idea as a momento from each country (too bad I just went to the bank to cash in all of my change!). I read about the wishing tales trading cards on a site that was talking about kidcot stations but haven't seen anything else written about them really so they might not exist anymore.

I want to take a family photo in each country, but I was also thinking of buying a Duffy bear and taking a picture with him in each country. Decisions decisions!

for autographs I would suggest no smaller then 4x4 or 3x5, anything smaller is hard for characters with paws.

World Showcase is tough, there are so many ways to scrap it. I haven't heard of the wish cards but there are tons of embellishments out there for all the countries and I have also used charms from the bead dept at Michael's, Joanns, and ACMoore. I was able to get just about every country. Morocco was the hardest but I think I used an elephant.

I have scrapped Epcot twice; once during Christmas and once during Flower/ Garden Show. The Christmas trip happened during the 25 Anniversary of Epcot so all the WS photos were scrapped on silver paper. I had a 25th Anniversary pin of Mickey and Figment that I cut the back off and I cut apart an Epcot passport using map and cover for the title page. Epcot sells a package of coins from each country for around $10 (at that time). Each country had its own page with a coin, flag stamp from passport, photo of the CM costume, architecture(sp), entertainers (Marchi Cobre, Off Kilter, etc..), and the Holiday Santas.

This scrapbook was themed with all plain paper and Mickey heads used to embellish each page. I made a homemade passport for the Flower and Garden show. I scrap-lifted one of the passports from creative disigners. I cut/pasted the flower of each country and a Disney clipart of character representing the country before printing. I visited all the kidcot stations and got the autograph in the corresponding language, Mickey country stamp, and the cut outs the CMs attach to the masks that the kids color. Then I took photos of all the topiaries for each country. I scrapped on plain blue paper the topiary, passport page and cut out. I punched out the Mickey heads on floral paper to fill in around the photos.

do you really want to carry it thur Epcot?? I'm told you can easliy walk 4 miles in that park so the less you have with you the less tirred you are

I actually just found a book of index cards that will be perfect to bring down!! I'm going to decorate the front tonight.

For the WS I got the paint swatches from home depot (the Mickey ones) and took the Mickeys off of the paper and I'm going to have the CM either stamp the Mickeys or write "hello" on them in their language.
