Scrapbooking at the Beach Club?

I know I visited a web site recently that was for a scrapbooking event of some kind at The Beach Club. Is this ringing any bells with anyone?

This is just not fair! I'm going to be staying at Beach Club the first night of the convention but I won't be able to go. This is an extended family trip and I'm helping shepard 5, yes 5, SIL's around for their first ever trip to see the mouse. Not much time left over for me after that.

Ahh. I might try to go then. I just worry about hurricane's. I'm in Washington State though, so I'm not sure if I just hear about htem in Florida and worry even though they maybe aren't even close to Orlando???

Orlando ispretty far inland. A lot of us here in FL evacuate to Orlando when one is coming. Even if a storn is headed right for there it has to pass over a good bit of land before it hits there so it loses some steam. They are never fun but it's one of the safest places to be.

Yeah, they rarely hit Orlando with any force - except Hurricane Charlie in 2004 - I was living in Orlando then and it took out every tree, balcony, and fireplace chimney at my apartment complex. Happy to be in a concrete block house now

A friend and I will be at the event in August and we cannot wait

Stop by the convention room to see us!! This will be my fourth event in Orlando with SDV. Every year we notice people looking in to the room, with a few that walk around and look at what's going on. I've never seen anyone stopped or turned away at the door.

I know what you mean! We live about 1 & 1/2 hours away and my friend who is going lives in Orlando. I was just going to drive over for one day and meet her, but DH is making it my birthday present so he and I will make a weekend out of it! I wanted to stay 2 nights so we decided to stay at Pop. I really wanted to stay on-site but we just cannot swing it financially. Still, it's a weekend at Disney combined with scrapbooking - how can you go wrong? For me I get to add in time away with my hubby and it's my birthday - woohoo

I can't believe i just found this section of the boards! LOL.. I am an avid scrapper, and was just looking at the BC crop, but it is not in the budget for this yr, since we are going to WDW in Nov. But, maybe just maybe, i can do this next Sept!!
