Hi Jennifer

We were discussing this earlier today and I wanted to let you know that I took apart my EK Success Mickey Head shaker box tonight and filled it with my Castaway sand and sealed it back up and....it worked!!!!!!!

It looks sooooooo cool.

OOOOOooooooo!!!!!!! I might have to get me one and try it!!!!! :) ::MickeyMo

i also did a layout of each rotation restaurant we went to...and palo too! :flower:

Creating Keepsakes also has a Disney magazine out. I had one from last year. I haven't seen them lately in the stores, but good old Ebay has them up for auction.

Thanks again for all the other threads to scrapbooking. I am an avid scrapbooker that loves to talk to other scrappers. :cheer2:

Shaker boxes are an element you can create yourself for your scrapbook pages. You can buy them but then you won't be able to put your own 'stuff' in them. Here is a link to an article about Shaker boxes.

They are lots of fun!! :wizard:

Hey! I just wanted to say thanks. That is a great website. Thank you VERY much for giving it to me. If you have anymore you are willing to share that would be awesome. Thanks again. Happy Scrapbooking!!!!!!

Here's my newest page -- not quite finished, but off to a nice start, I think. I like to make accordian fold books with lots and lots of small photos worked into my title pages. This one has a photo of a hibiscus that I took on Castaway Cay which has been enlarged and then lightened to provide the background. The actual photo then makes the cover of the accordian book. Inside the accordian book are all the artsy shots and memory shots that don't include people, but I really like to look at them. If someone wants to see all my artsy shots, they can pull the page out of the protector and look, but if they're looking at my people shots and scraps, they can bypass the little photo album and move right along. I include an annotated table of contents for the photo albumette on the back of the page behind this title page, so as the accordian booklet is open, you can reference the journal notes about each photo by reading the TOC. (does this make sense? I'll try to get good photos for how it works if anyone is interested)

This is mounted on black background and has a black and gold ribbon border.

Two peas is a great resource. They have a gallery full of disney pages. On the home page click on view by categories. Then scroll down and you'll find Disney. There are thousands of pages. There are some cruise pages scattered throughout, but I think you can get ideas from a lot of their Disney World pages also. There's new pages added just about every day.
I love scrapbooking Disney pages! They are by far the most fun!

my Creative Memories personalized album that just came!
I bought (locally) the navy blue 12x12 and ordered the "Persona" personalization thru the CM website. You buy a shipping box from the CM lady, and send just the cover (and/or spine cover). They have all kinds of designs for all occasions...baby, holidays, vacation, etc.
My design is palm tree island, sailboat on the water, seagulls, and the sun.
Centered underneath that it says:
Our Wonderful Disney Cruise
June 26, 2005

It's not cheap, I think the personalization was 16.99 and then the shipping back to me was added for a total of $23. You pay shipping on both ends.
The box was about 3.50 and is reusable. They sent more supplies back.
Add that $23 to the cost of the album and it gets expensive in a hurry!

Hey there...I'm trying to get my thoughts together for our upcomming cruise...along with trying to finish up our cuise from last Sept. :teeth: I'm almost done...all I have left is our day at Castaway Cay...other than that I've done everything from our take off from our home town to our arrival back home.

I have a link in my signature line to my two peas page...with my what I have scanned so far....(I ended up with four...yes four albums from our first cruise :earseek: )...needless to say I didn't scan ALL of my pages...but just a few. I have two albums of heading to the ship, on the ship, sea days, and heading home....while the other two albums are ports and the things we did....

Scrapperjill - FAB-U-LOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved looking at your pages this morning....I can see that great minds think a like on cruises....I have some of the exact same pictures of the ship as you do!!!!!

Your pages are great. If you don't mind me asking...how long have you been scrapbooking?

Oh...lets see....I started scrappbooking when I was expecting my youngest dd...who is now 7...so it's been a little over 7 years.

You should have seen my first pages. :earseek: BAD...very BAD... :earboy2: Doing the whole cut out of every photo...with sissors...the deco sissors no less....no tools....nothing...Just my album, adhesive, some stickers (Lots of stickers) and markers.... :confused3 All I can say is...I've evolved... :smooth:

ScrapperJill-
Great pages!! :cheer2: It is nice to see that you and I have the same taste when it comes to scrapbooking. I truly enjoyed seeing your pages. I love twopeasinabucket also. It is a great place to get ideas. Where did you find that pirate map paper? I need some for this Halloween. My son is going to be a pirate and that paper would be awesome to have.
Thanks again for some great ideas. Just one more question- do they sell the 12x12 album on the cruise? I bought one when I was a WDW and was just curious if they have an album for the cruise line also. :confused3

ScrapperJill: Your album is great, I really like the way you used the colors bordering some pictures. Do you print your own photo's at home? Also to post the layouts did you scan the pages or did you take macro pictures of them? Sorry for the all the questions but I have a scanner but can't seem to capture an image right, my file is too large or too small or something else.

i just went on oriental trading and they have a ton of scrapbooking papers and accessories for like 5-10 a packet. i searched for beach, tropical, disney, mickey and minnie! i purchased a few packs for our upcomign cruise!

The pirate paper that I used was a 12x12 sheet....that I picked up at Craft Warehouse. I haven't seen it lately...but then again I haven't been looking either. pirate:

I scan my layouts in with our scanner...then I have to merge them together and resize them for posting.

I don't print my own photos...I use the photo center at Costco :goodvibes I really like the way they turn out there. Plus their online now so I can upload them from home...and just pick them up at the store when I'm in the area. I haven't checked but they may be able to mail them out also....Anyway Costo has a GREAT photo lab (the 1hour in store lab).

When we were on our cruise last Sept...they did have 12x12 albums for sale. Myself I passed on it...just because I use CM albums. However my girls are getting into scrappbooking...and I may have to break down and get them one this next time. :smooth:

Thanks for sharing your pages scrapperjill!!! I've add you to my bucket on 2Ps!!!

I have to agree with you on Costco. They have a great photo lab there and it is so easy to download your pics online. I have also placed you in my bucket at 2P's.
Thanks for you great ideas and I will continue to look out for my pirate paper. Thanks.
