OK Folks, I need some creativity ...

My son's history assignment is a scrapbook - not exactly exciting for a boy but it's a required component and worth 30% of his final mark and due the week of exams (great?!) He's got his ideas but is stumped on the following component. How do you make a Table of Contents look good in a scrapbook. He's got borders on his pictures and picked co-ordinating papers but a table of contents is too plain for him. Everything must be typed but I thought he could stamp or paint the "Table of Contents" title and maybe use some beads for page numbers or something to keep with the scrapbook theme.

Any ideas/samples/anything?

How about printing it on cardstock and then cutting it into pieces to layer down the page- he can put different papers behind different sections- maybe add some brads or eyelets in shapes to co-ordinate with the stuff in the section to attch the papers.

If it has to be typed you can get really creative with your fonts. And there is always doodling. I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure they would have some samples on www.twopeasinabucket.com go to peanut gallery and do a search on doodling.

I knew if I threw this out there someone would help him. I never thought of different coloured cardstock strips - they would add texture and depth and he can use patterned paper and brads and eyelets to secure everything down - thanks everyone!

It might be expensive but you could try metal tags for the page numbers.
