Scrapbook Conventions was WONDERFUL!

has anyone been to a scrapbook convention?

I have the chance to go to the one in Orlando tomorrow but all of the classes are booked up. (procrastination as usual!)
but is still worth it to go or should I just forget about it?

Please let me know what you think of these and if it is worth the drive...thanks for your imput!

Are you refering to the Orlando Memories Expo? It sounds great! I am missing it by a few days so I never really looked into it. I know there are at least a couple other people on this board who are going-perhaps they may have some info for you!

The Orlando Expo is fantastic. The trade show is worth going to even if you don't get any classes. There are many booths with demos and mini make and take classes. I went last year. I was not able to get some of my classes, but I picked up a few at the desk. If I had the chance to go, classes or no classes, I would definitely go.

I have been to a couple on the west coast, and I rarely do the classes-- I am too busy shopping and getting great deals in the exhibitors area! Sometimes, though, I will go to the cropping party, those can be really fun!

If it is anything like the GASC in Texas, they offer lots of make and takes and free demonstrations. They usually have lots of great discounts, too. Have fun!

I went 3 years ago. It was fantastic!
It was better the GASC in VA, which was not as big as GASC in Texas. The Orlando Memories expo is one of the largest Memories Expo that company does.

Doing the "floor" is worth the entrance fee. The classes are a great chance to meet some people too... like my friend met Becky Higgins in Orlando... she was teaching the creative lettering class herself!

I am missing this years by a week. My boss takes vacation this week, so I get bumped to next week
