I found out about it in the aug/sept issue of scrapbooks etc., it is a special on-site crop helping to raise money for the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer research. There are only certain places that are sponsoring events, there is a website, scrappink.com. I would love to participate but there isn't a participating store nearby me.

No but there is one at the Archiver's in GA. She is holding a crop at both stores and the money goes to 3 day walk for cancer. All the prizes and food has been donated by local businesses. I think it will be a lot of fun. It's an all day crop. This will be my first time cropping there. I am so looking forward to it!!!

YAY!!! My store hosts, of course it's the same weekend as our very first PTO crop but I might try to incorporate the same theme. Then go to my store on Sunday.

My CMC also hosts a breast cancer crop too, she lost a friend and fellow CMC to cancer a few years ago.

BJ often has pink breast cancer gear; tshirts, socks, etc that might be good for a raffle at the PTO crop.

Nancy continues to be my inspiration. Her motivation to preserve her life's memories before she passed was amazing. Those memories will long be cherished. I can't put into words how touching it was to see her writing in her albums at the wake. I traced the letters with my fingers, feeling she was close. Her passing was two years ago July 8th. I still can't get used to not seeing her at our CMC meetings.

Thanks for the info Stacy. Sadly that is the same weekend as CKC Hartford so I think a lot of people will going to that. But it is good to know for future reference.
