over the years, my embellishment storage has changed many times.
at first i used to use those watchmaker tins...until i had 3 40ct boxes full and was going into my fourth. plus they were getting to be a pain, i had dumped a whole one and had to play 4,000 eyelet pickup...let me tell you that was not fun, as i have a small dog who likes to eat stuff on the floor...and also some of those blasted cups were soooooooo hard to get open...in fact, if somebody wants some tins, email me and they are yours...
then i tried the wal mart tic tac boxes. those are also good, but they only hold smaller items.
then i got one of those all out huge tackle/fishing boxes. the one with the top that opens, and i put more boxes on top. then the front door opens and there are 4 pull out plastic organizing drawers...you can customize these anyway you want with the plastic dividers. that system is good, but you have to have a place to put it that is accessible, and it really isn't good for the smaller items....
enter the current organizer...
i use cropper hopper embellishment boxes...
instead of writing what the item is on the top, i just set the eyelet or brad, or glue whatever is held inside the box right on the top. that way i can see what exactly is in there and not have to read it.
then i put them into the cropper hopper embellishment case
now, my small embellishments are still being put into the cases, but i do have my ribbon stored this way...this is a picture of sombody's on 2peas, but mine looks just like it...
though, not the optimum traveling stuff, well, they are very travelable, i just like to take the bare minimum...so, with that, i take only the necessary boxes of colors of ribbon and embellishments that i will need for the projects that i am working on.
i like this system. so far it is one of the best ones that i have used.
