i SO remember the first news reports of laci going missing-we lived in the same general area. i remember turning to my husband and saying 'she's dead and he killed her'. my husband questioned how i could say that with the little bits of information the news was providing, that she was simply a missing person at the time....i pointed out to him that laci's due date was within a couple weeks of our son's a few years earlier and then asked if he could think back to when i was over 8 months pregnant and expecting a household of people over for christmas dinner-i asked 'is there any way you would have even CONSIDERED going to spend the day playing golf or fishing when we were hosting a big family holiday dinner?'. dh got quiet for a second and then said 'ummmm, yeah-you might be right about this'. as the news provided more information on scott's alibi of taking that little boat out to the berkeley mariana anyone familiar with the weather/waters there knew he was full of b.s.

Scott and Laci graduated from my Alma Matter a couple of years after I did (go Mustangs!). His son, Conner, was to be a year younger than my son, Connor. Needless to say, there is not a part of my brain that can fathom what he did (and yes, he did do it, no doubt in my mind). Scott, if you didn't want to be a Dad, why didn't you just run off and be a deadbeat like all the other deadbeats that abandon their kids? I mean, we would have all still despised you, but at least Laci and Conner would have been OK. Bastard.

Covered every aspect of the search, arrest and trial from the time Laci disappeared until I retired last year when the appeals were still pending. With every move he made before he was arrested, it became harder and harder to believe he didn't do it. Such a loss. He couldn't just divorce his wife if he didn't like his married life?

In a way I think it is better. He was never going to be put to death. Now he will spend the rest of his life in gen pop, where they don't take to kindly to men who abuse (murder) woman & children.

He is at Mule Creek State Prison in Ione. Mule Creek is a "Sensitive Needs" prison where inmates are segregated because they can't be in the general prison population I doubt he will ever be allowed in a general prison population for the very reasons you stated.

Also Christopher Watts in Colorado a few years ago. I knew all four were guilty right from the start.

I think Scott Peterson tried to blame and steer the investigation toward his girlfriend/mistress after she dumped him when she found out about the murder.

The 911 call that was played on TV from Charles Stuart was so obviously fake I couldn’t believe that Boston police and many citizens found it credible.

The very first time I saw Susan Smith and Christopher Watts on TV pleading for the safe return of their kids I knew they were lying.

One bad thing the law/papers did was inform the public of this before they found Lacy. It gave an opening which the defense tried that someone read about it and decided to dump the bodies there. Also odd that there were cement stains of him making anchors.

I thought they actually found one anchor as well. I could be wrong.

I thought dyeing his hair blond, growing a goatee, taking a bunch of cash and fleeing town probably for the border was damning behavior. If he was innocent (which I never thought he was) that sealed his guilt in the eyes of most.
