Okay, you won't believe what I just went through with Disney Dining -- I am still laughing about it.

I called, got a 5:00 for Kona, and then when she pulled up my Le Cellie ressie by number to cancel, she kind of freaked on me! She wanted to know why I was cancelling, pulled up their menu, talked to her superviser. I had to assure her that I saw actual pictures of the new menu board and that it wasn't just some Internet rumor. She did not want me to cancel because "it's one of the hardest reservations to get!" She even wanted to switch me to the restaurant to talk to them about the menu changes. She kept reassuring me that the chef would work with us -- if we didn't want mushrooms, they wouldn't put mushrooms on it. Blah, blah, blah. I didn't have the nerve to cancel it after all that. So, we still have Le Cellier. :rolleyes:

I am just so leary of the new menu. I might call back in a little bit and try again. They had tons of openings for our night at Kona so that is at least something.
 
What about Yachtsman Steakhouse??


YACHTMAN STEAKHOUSE R-O-C-K-S !!! We ate there last labor day weekend, and it was awesome. A bit higher end priced restaurant, but we were made comfortable eating there with kids! They loved their kids steak menus, too!!! :thumbsup2
 

Where did you find the new menu for Le cellier? :confused3 its not good?

There is a thread about it over on the Restaurants board -- one of the reasons we wanted to eat there was for the filet mignon with maple bbq. sauce and the cream cheese potatoes. That's gone now -- it's just some sort of mushroom filet. We are very disappointed.

Mine died today...:sad1: She was sick for about a month. the meds werent working. shes lost about 30 lbs. took her back today for one last visit and to maybe make an appt to put her down. Dr put her on some new Antibiotics, (anemia, and probably cancer she said) for the weekend..went to dinner to get my 10 YO s mind off of her,,he cried through dinner,,,came home and she had died on the kitchen floor while we were gone..Ben was the first one in the house too..:guilty: she looked like she was just resting like a normal dog..She was ready. I know she wanted to go..I could see it..we had 9 years with her...I will post a picture of her over on the Focker thread ..

The Vet did mention to think about cremation for her..but I think I`d rather have her in the back. I had fully expected to put her to sleep maybe tonite. which is why its so strange that she did it on her own..she knew she wasnt well...

I am SO SORRY about your dog. :hug: She probably was waiting to be alone and not upset you.

I "retired" this year and am loving every minute of it!!! (I retired the first time when DD was born, then went back to work at the same school she attended, now that she started high school, I decided I am ready to stay home for good! :cool1: )

I'm wide awake. Maybe I had too much caffeine :confused3

I am meeting with a realtor at 10 am to see apartments. I guess I'm going to need more caffeine when I drive to Fresh Meadows.

And I have to rethink wanting to live in a place called Fresh Meadows. Sounds like a cemetary.

My dad used to work in "Fresh Meadows"... or was that "Flushing Meadows"?! Queens, next to a radio station... near the World's Fair sphere?... any of this make sense? It was when I was a kid! lol
 
I just saw that Le Cellier thread as well. I am so disappointed I was dreaming of that maple filet with the cream cheese mashed potatoes. :sad1:
 
Someone was asking about a good steak... If you aren't looking to do it on the dining plan, Shula's at the Dolphin is excellent! We've been twice...
Similar to Ruth's Chris...

I've never been, but I've also heard that the Flying Fish on the Boardwalk has an excellent steak...

Me too! :sad1: And due to that extra mile some CMs will take, I was guilted into keeping my reservation! Never thought I would actually complain about getting superior Disney service! :headache:

Maybe, the chef will get tired of the complaints and switch it back before June?

Thanks for the recommendations, but we are on the dining plan so our choices are a little limited.

I hope they bring it back, I was planning on getting the Candlelight Processional package in December but if the menu stays as it is now I will seriously think of eating elsewhere.

so u have Le Cellier and Kona. I wanted the mousse and realized it is gone. Hmm might re-think this one.

we are eating at Cap'n Jacks. I just like cheesecake. :) probably why I am the size I am. :sad2:

Cheesecake is the best!!! Ahhhh, I love it. I can even make it low carb and it's not bad... :thumbsup2 Not as good as full carb, but not bad nonetheless!

Have I told you about my new diet? I'm trying to get bigger. The best part of a diet like this is the fud is much, much better. ::yes::

FWIW, I'm not a mushroom person, and the waiter didn't even flinch when I requested no mushrooms on my squash ravioli.

Also, I know people are worrying about the lack of chocolate moose, but it wasn't on the menu outside there in December, but they still served it.

That's what DH and I have decided -- to keep the ressie and order without mushrooms.
