I would do Westchester over LI. Just my opinion. And I just lost all my LI readers. :lmao:
Queens is good and still the 5 boros.
Isn't Westchester more than LI?

u will be there sooner then me.

The duplex apartment in Fresh Meadows, Queens is $1895/month, but that's for three bedrooms. I always price out the biggest space even though I only need a one bedroom :lmao: Parking is $125/month. Not too bad.

Some parts of Westchester are more than LI. I think it all depends. I really like Mamaroneck, Scarsdale, Hartsdale, and White Plains. But then again Manhasset and Garden City are really nice too.

When are you planning on moving?

Nah, I understand....It is easier to get into NY from Westchester....LI is a bit of a pain.

Come on out to LI, we're a fun vacation spot!

PS-I love the new numbers...swanky!

The Hamptons and Fire Island...nice!!! I'm thinking of a Fire Island getaway this summer. One of my former student's parents own a hotel on Fire Island. Maybe I'll be able to get a nice room :rotfl2:

I lived in East Quogue for a while and love it...but it ended up being too far from the school I work at.

My brother and his wife live in Garden City.
When you come out this summer, let me know we can do a beach dismeet! :):beach:

Oooo sounds good! I can figure out how to make Lapu Lapus and we'll have them on the beach.

Garden City is very dangerous for me. Too much shopping :lmao:

What school district do you work for?

Yes, I NEVER visit him and his wife. I am sure when they have kids I'll be there more...

I work for the William Floyd School District. I used to work in Westhampton Beach, and that was awesome, but I moved up in the world of teaching...and moved to a MUCH BIGGER district.

Scott...how's the home search comin'

My friend has a house in the Hamptons. Is it summer yet?
thanks found those numbers last night.

that is not bad at all. Parking is a great price.
not sure. whenever we find a place.
Washignton Heights and Inwood are definite no's.
Won't make the open house in Riverdale and he thinks it is too pricey so we shall look some more.

slowly.

subbing....

Scott, your siggie always makes me do a double take, LOL

Having lived both on LI and in Westchester, I can tell you there are areas of each that are more and less expensive. Western LI is easier to get into lower manhattan, westchester is easier for upper midtown and upper Manhattan. I have a hearty dislike for the LIRR...but then again, I always had tot ake the Ronkoonkoma line to the end, adn lived 35 minutes EAST of that. :scared1: Either way, you are a slave to train schedules, and many times, the traains are once an hour, which stinks. Often, we are out to dinner, and are timing whether or not we should have dessert and linger over coffee or just get the check and catch the earlier train. If you can afford it, I definitely recommend staying in Manhattan or on the subway line.

I'm sure you guys will find a place you both like.

Native NYer, have you considered Yonkers?? there are really nice parts, it is a quick commute, and it s westchester, if you want out of NYC metro....however the schools STINK.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
That's approx how many days till I get to meeet ya!!!
:woohoo:
I will do my sexy dance for that.

His nephew just told him the condo I like is a nice building and to see if they drop the price $20 - 30,000 then buy it.
we will see.

Scott,

you missed a fun time at world of disney today, captain jack sparrow was there!

get me a good rate to and I will meet you.

I drove to Fresh Meadows to check out the neighborhood and it's almost like being in the suburbs. It's quiet, lots of restaurants, and close to the LIE and Grand Central so I can escape when I get antsy :lmao:

Does Biff want to stay in Manhattan? My friend just bought a beautiful one bedroom in Lincoln Towers. I'm not sure what the price range is there, but it's not to far from where you are now.

I'll see what rate I get at the hotel on Fire Island and I'll let you know. Come to think of it, that parent sells commercial real estate. I wonder if he knows of any decent listings in Manhattan.

Oh no. I would have loved to have seen him. I hate my pic with him from P&PP.
