Scotch-Gard Question

I have one more shirt question. For those of you who use Scotch-Gard, is it Scotch-Gard Fabric and Upholstery Protector? I want to make sure I bought the correct thing.

Also, if I use it on the front and back (inside of the shirt) of the design, should I wash it after applying the Scotch-Gard, before wearing the shirt?

I went back and scotchgaurded all of my shirts, especially the ones that migh bleed or have alot of ink on the, and I did do the inside and outside of the design, however I have not washed the ones I have packed for Florida.
