Score! Hilton Head studio for July! Any tips?

I'm so excited! I was just able to book 4 nights in a Hilton Head studio in July via renting a confirmed reservation from David's. I had looked and looked on the Disney website but was never able to even see an available studio at any time of year, much less in July when we want to travel. The only thing I ever saw available was a 2-bedroom, which my son and I definitely don't need.

I'm so looking forward to staying there. We just stayed at Vero Beach for the first time (also rented points) last week, and loved it. We have never been to Hilton Head and are looking forward to trying something new during our little getaway there.

Any tips for staying at Hilton Head? Any regional activities or sights to see before or after our HHI stay that you recommend? We've never been to South Carolina or Georgia.

HHI is very bicycle friendly, do you ride?

Good for you to get the very hard to get reservation if you don’t own there!

If you drive, stopping/staying at either Savannah GA, or Charleston SC are great towns to see.

Thanks for the tips and link. Yes, we do ride bikes and want to do that at HHI. Visiting Charleston and Savannah sounds nice. I'll look into sights to see in those cities. We will fly in and have a rental car. Perhaps we'll fly into one of those cities, and out of the other.

Very jealous! I have been trying to book direct from Disney in July (or June) and it has been next to impossible.

I recommend trying one or both of the two main DVC rental companies, DVC Rental Store or David's DVC Rental. Naturally, only book if you're 100% sure & also get trip insurance as you can't change or cancel a DVC rental.

On site is only counter service at HHI.

I also scored a 6 night ressie at HH for July (including July 4th). Can't believe it. Kept stalking the online booking tool. Must have stumbled onto someone's cancelation.

I was actually looking at that one and thinking it over, then it disappeared. Now I know who beat me to it lol. I've looked since getting mine and also noticed a 5-night HHI studio on David's DVC for July. They're not so rare this year, I guess. Lot's of people cancelling trips.
