Scooter to Own

We've rented my Dad an ECV for Disney trips for a while now. They've been a godsend. He also uses the "loaners" when at Target or the grocery store. He's now thinking of getting one of his own.

Any general advice of choosing and buying a scooter? Used vs New. 4-wheel designs vs 3? Thoughts on lifts and other transportation options?

Any comments greatly appreciated!

I have a Pride Go-Go Elite Traveler Plus. It is the 3 wheel model and I really love it!

It is a lightweight scooter that breaks down into 4 pieces very easilly and the heaviest piece is about 39 lbs. It fits in a trunk easilly too.

I am currently using my scooter at school and sometimes it has to do some off-roading, and it is withstanding it wonderfully.

I can't say enough good things about this scooter.
