Scooter rental hand pain

My hands are very stiff and sore. I’m worried about hand fatigue with a rental scooter.

Is there a joystick control converter or any tips on how to cope? TIA
 
Thanks for asking I think I might buy these at CVS or Walgreens but they get really good reviews …probably good for driving a car too .
