My husband is very pooh sized, has back issues, leg edema, and at times nasty cellulitis in his lower legs. We have a trip to WDW planned and leave in 2 weeks. As to help him be more comfortable and better enjoy our trip I would like to rent him a scooter for the week we will be there. We are staying at the Coronado Springs Resort. My first question is what would be a good company to rent from? What can I expect to pay for the week? And finally do you just take these in your room with you when you are at the hotel? Just kind of cram them in the room? Are compact sizes available?

Thanks for any info!! :)

Follow the link in my signature or look near the top of this board for the disABILITIES FAQs thread. Post 2 of that thread is about ECVs and wheelchairs and has information about where to rent them, including phone numbers and website links.
You can visit the websites of various companies and get a feeling for prices and which companies carry which scooters. Many have compact models.

Most people do bring the scooter into the room with them, especially important in the resorts with outside hallways, like Coronado Springs.
You can move the table and chairs a bit to make room. Some people who don't plan on using the table and chairs request Housekeeping to remove them.

One problem is "compact models" and Pooh-sized" tend to be not compatible. The compacts tend to have a weight limit of 250 pounds, the standard is 350, and then you get into the heavy-duty. Whichever company(s) you contact will ask about weight and height and will provide the model which is best suited.

I am pooh sized and have my own pride go go elite trasveller plus Apple rent them its a travel scooter and comes apart
