DD and I came down last weekend for the 50th celebration and I rented a scooter from Gold Mobility for the second time - from Gold's and using a scooter. First rate service from Gold's - they dropped off at, and picked up from, the main check-in lobby (tower) within 5 minutes of scheduled time. Both times they contacted me in advance to confirm. The scooter was in good shape with a good battery.

This was our first time staying a CS. It's gorgeous! I am mobile but bad ankles limit my ability to be on my feet all day. The three bridges make the resort very walkable. After deliberation, we made our request to stay in Casitas and I think that was the right thing to do. The Casitas is the first stop for buses. For the three mornings we were there, it would not have been possible for a scooter to load onto our buses at subsequent stops. Hopefully someone else will weigh in if they have a different experience. Our room was a fourth floor handicap room. There was plenty of room for the scooter. The people next to us had a regular room with an angled entrance/door. They parked a scooter outside, right against the door, and ran the charging cord into the room.

Hope this helps someone else who is considering CS. Let me know if you have questions.

That's very similar to our experience on wheels at CSR. Casitas is really the best (maybe only) place to be if you need to board the bus first, though I know they will send additional buses to start at other sections if the buses are getting full - or even just 'full to those with disabilities' - at Casitas.

Glad to hear you had such a wonderful stay! I also used to go over to Casitas to board the bus sometimes. I was able to board at the 2nd stop but sometimes I had to go by people who were already sitting and it was stressful to make sure I didn't bump anyone's knees trying to park. Getting off the bus was actually worse because it was full coming back from the parks and people were everywhere.
