Scooter backpack or bag and safety

I assume that anything I leave with my chair must be things I’m willing to lose. That said, I also still enjoy everything to be with me… and to be cute.

I attach my waterproof Disney Ju-Ju-Be backpack to the back of my electric WC with 2 carabiners, and fill it with a few snacks and clothing items (layering, rain, whatever!). Then, I have a 2nd mini bag (also a waterproof, Disney Ju-Ju-Be ) up front on another carabiner where I keep my essentials like my wallet & meds. I only take the little one with me on rides. For me, it’s the perfect combo & it makes me smile.

(ps. I don’t personally use locks @ WDW bc it would be a bigger pain for me to get to my stuff, and bc I think it makes things seem more valuable than mine really are!)

I don’t see how it’s any different than leaving stuff on your stroller. People do it all the time.

If you are just leaving your chair at the end of the ride, that area is covered in cameras. I wouldn’t sweat that at all, except kalahari rapids. I didn’t like how exposed the chair was for that ride.

I just have a normal ratty old backpack and I hang the straps over the back of the chair in a crisscross so they can't slip. It's perfectly secure there, especially with my weight leaning back against the straps. I've been doing this for over a decade and never had an issue. I mean, don't leave your camera or phone or medication in there, but you don't need to secure it like Fort Knox. Honestly, don't stress about this. Take anything you can't afford to lose with you, leave the rest, and it's incredibly unlikely anything will happen -- if it does, you can replace the snacks and your sweatshirt and rain poncho and that tube of cortisone cream and the bottle of Dramamine you overpaid for at the airport.

I have a waterproof bag attached underneath the seat of the scooter that's not removeable (at least not without garden shears) that I used to keep my tablet in, because it doesn't fit in my handbag and I couldn't carry it onto rides alongside my cane and my bag. You'd have to be looking for it to know it's there, you wouldn't see it just from casually walking past. That said, over the years it became more and more difficult for me to bend over and reach beneath the seat, so now I just keep the scooter's charger in there. The tablet gets wrapped inside my sweatshirt and stuffed into the bottom of the pack. It'd be a pain in the **** if it were stolen, but there's no financial data or passwords or anything on there, and it's five years old, so not the end of the world. The thief would get a kick out of my utter incompetence at Pokemon Go.
