Scissor Sisters

i was into them a few years ago but as of late not really.

I'm excited to hear what Jake Shears does for the stage musical version of Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City!

It's being directed by the guy who directed Avenue Q and Shears (using his real name) is doing the music. They open in San Francisco next spring.

I'm DYING to see it!

Did their new album/cd/digital download/what ever the heck you call it now come out today?

Filthy Gorgeous - is my mantra! ;)

I'm a HUGE fan. Finally got to see them a couple years ago in concert. And yes, their new album came out today.

Really? I didn't know that! I haven't read the book but have seen bits of the mini-series.

Yeah....Night Work! It is awesome! I think it's their best yet!!

Lucky! I don't think they come to NE Ohio to often :sad2:

Sorry, I'm clueless :confused3

You should check them out Sphyrna! I don't know what type of music you like but if you like pop/dance/retro-throwback music you might like 'em!

Oohh, sounds like music I'd enjoy. I'll have to look them up. I mostly listen to dance/electronic (techno and house mostly) and pop.

Oh you might really like them! I say def. check them out when you get a chance! I am loving their new CD.

Ich liebe the Scissor Sisters!! Their new CD is faboo, and comes close to topping the first one, IMHO. (tee hee, I said topping. Sorry, I'm really tired right now). Squee!

I've been a Scissor Sisters fan for about 5 years. I finally had a chance to see them live a few years back, they were great. I didn't care much for the opening act "Wigs On Sticks" hehehe Fire with Fire was a free download on iTunes so I grabbed that. I got a few more tracks now that the album is out. It's funny they sell out stadiums in Europe, but here most people haven't heard of them. We just don't appreciate our local talent (David Hasselhoff) cough...

Chromeo is my new obsession. They have a new album coming out next month. Give them a listen :thumbsup2

I love the new album. I first saw them in 2003 at TT Bears in Boston and then a couple years later in NYC. Th wigs on sticks was mildly amusing lol ... They are playing NYC this month and it is mid-week. It is hard to see a show mid week coming from CT. last time we did a mid week show was lady gaga last month at the garden.

agreed - it is funny how they sell out stadiums and people here are like Who are they!?

there was a good article with Jake last month in either OUT or ADVOCATE ( forgot which) He talked about how he got his inspiration for the album. It was a good read.
