SciFI Milkshakes

Hi I don't want to hijack the other thread.

I am curious about the kids meals and being able to get Milkshakes for drinks. We do deluxe dining and they have always allowed the kids to have Milkshakes and last time we had to pay for them if they wanted them.

Has anyone been recently and had the kids able to get a milkshake instead of a Soda?

It's a little different with kids because they're supposed to order from the child's menu.

I suppose you could consult a manager, but if the manager tells you no milkshakes for kids, that's probably the best you can do.

they would always just bring them in the same cup a kid's soda would come in.

We just paid for them ~ but I was curious if it was just our particular server that day or if they really don't allow it anymore.

We have done it probably 5 times before and then last time... nope.

I'm curious about this too - we've booked the dxdp and had read that you could often get a small milkshake for the kids. Did you order the kids a milkshake and a kid drink or just the milkshake?

Just the milkshake. When they said we would have to pay OOP we also got a small water to take with us ~ the tiny bottled water.

But we were fine with just the Milk Shake had they allowed it. Like I said ~ it was just this one time ~ but it was the last one so I don't know. We will try again in may.

Thanks! we actually have reservations at 50's this time (we went to Sci-Fi last year, paid OOP and it was rather unmemorable, I honestly can't remember our food at all).

I wonder if 50's has the same policy re the milkshakes?

For the kiddos you mean?

We were allowed them instead of sodas as adults ~ this time it was just the kids they didn't allow it for.

When we did do it they still got the dessert. I don't know.

We didn't actually try at 50's Prime time. I don't think.... hmmm will have to ask hubby as I don't remember.

Hmmmmm this leads me more to the thought that it is the servers discretion.

We were allowed in Sept/Oct and NOT in December.

Guess I will know in 4 weeks from today!! I'll report back!
