What do you recommend here? I have read some bad reviews, but the atmosphere sounds fun. Is there anything you can be safe in ordering?

Thanks!

I've always enjoyed the food and the teenagers loved it and the other kids looked enthralled. It's not a gormet place, it's quiet and cool and pretty unique. I can' remember what the 5 of us ate but there were no complaints.

I love this place, we normally stick to burgers and milk shakes and they are always good. DH had a shrimp pasta dish once and he enjoyed it.

The atmosphere is cool and its worth going in just for that.

The deserts are pretty good too.

My burger was really good. Not Fuddrucker's good, but I would order it again.

DH loves their Reuben. The let us have the milkshake as either a beverage or dessert on the DDP. Despite some of the reviews, we have always enjoyed Sci-Fi.

We were there in November and Dh and I both had the burger and vanilla cokes. The cokes were so good! The burgers were...burgers! :) Nothing outstanding, but no complaints either! :thumbsup2

For dessert we ordered the cheesecake which came topped with caramel sauce and a garnish of caramel corn and m&ms! Not what I would typically think of for cheesecake topping, but it was actually really yummy! I would go back for that alone!

We LOVE the atmosphere. There is nothing better than being able to relax in the cool darkness in the middle of a hot day at the park! :)

We love Sci-Fi and have been lots of times. If I were you I would go for lunch, we only went for dinner once and didn't like the food. We normally go around 2pm. We typically order onion rings, burgers, sandwiches etc. and have never been disappointed. Last time we went DD wanted the ribs, I was advising her not to get them, as we previously hadn't enjoyed the dinner, but she ordered them anyway and ate them right up, she said they were delicious! DDs always have to have the milk shakes, they love them! :-)

My kids and I went to the Sci-fi the last time we were there. I too had no complaints about the food- it was pretty typical I think. We had 11AM ressies and didn't have to wait long. We were seated up front though and I'd suggest that you ask for a seat a bit farther back. My neck was stiff by the end of our meal!

We went mostly for the atmosphere. It's almost an attraction in itself.

ribs, ribs and more ribs...lol
My dd loves the ribs!!
I've had the onion rings, burgers, artichoke dip, bow tie pasta. We've never been disappointed. The milkshakes are great but do dessert somewhere else. The milkshake can count as a dessert if you're on the DDP.

We went for lunch on our Dec trip. It was a good pick. DH had the burger, said it was very good.
I had the chicken sandwich. I removed the bruschetta stuff, I don't like that and asked for bbq sauce....mmmm that was good.
We split an order of onion rings, now those were fabulous.

All in all we had a good visit.

I went once this past November, and while it was cute and a lot of fun I don't think I'd be going back again. I actually prefer the 50s Prime Time Diner. However, good things to order here are the milkshakes. Granted I had a soy milkshake, but it was terrific and I'm sure their regular milkshakes are just as good.
We also ordered some onion rings - they were...onion rings. They were big, and filling, but nothing out of the ordinary. I had the tofu dish, which is really one of the better tofu dishes on property so I'd recommend the food here especially for smaller kids, since you get to sit in cars and watch a movie screen as though you're really at a drive-in diner. The theme was great, the food only okay.

I go for the atmosphere and the milkshakes :drinking1 . My favorite menu Items are the chili and the onion rings. The rueben was pretty good too.

Oh, and you can get a milkshake to go as a dessert or even as your regular drink on the DDP. Pretty cool!

It was a great place for my 6 year old and 4 year old to rest, refuel, and be still. They LOVED the idea of eating in the cars and watching the shows.

For the 15 month old, it was not so good, no room for him to wiggle and no enough table space to push things away from him. :) He did however, fall asleep eventually-I think the dark setting helped.

We were there on 1/3/10-a great escape from the crowds and COLD.

DH loves the reuben there. I had the wedge salad with steak and enjoyed it. The ice cream sundae was the best part of the whole meal for me. YUM!!! We didn't get milkshakes for our drinks since the kids can not and we didn't want to torture our oldest. :) Good to know about the to go milkshake as dessert. Something to think about. That hot fudge sundae though is not to be missed. We loved the dark, quiet, and cool atmosphere. It was blazing hot the day we went to DHS, so it was a nice change.

We're going back this summer. It's a must do if we go to DHS.

We like the burgers, onion rings, and milkshakes. :goodvibes

We eat here every year and always have a great time. The kids always enjoy themselves and the food has always been good to us;) The onion rings and shakes are the best!

Chili was good and onion rings too. Last trip we tried the steak-Wedge salad and that really hit the spot. Had a desert too but don't remember what-no doubt something chocolate...
We will return-probably next trip since our 15 yr old is comming and I don't think he would enjoy getting picked on at Prime Time-

Bev

The standouts for us were the milkshake and the Celebration cheesecake someone mentioned. The onion rings were absolutely perfect onion rings, but nothing more.

Everything else was perfectly fine,... as in I have absolutely no complaints; it tasted good, used quality ingredients, and was prepared properly, but it also didn't blow me away. I had the shrimp pasta, DH had the tofu, and he also had the apple crumble for dessert. It's been compared to Applebee's and it is that *type* of food, but I think the quality is significantly better at Sci-Fi (or else the Applebee's by my house is just a bad example).

But go for the experience, not for the food.
