It's been a while since I have eaten at the Sci Fi and this is the first time we will be traveling there with kids. I know that the two year old would love to eat in the car. Would he be able to sit in the car and reach the table? We are also traveling with another couple who has a 1 year old. He will be sitting in a high chair. So I am starting to think that we won't be able to eat in the car anyways. Do they have regular tables there? I was really hoping to eat in the car. My son gets a kick out of seeing the pictures from when we were dining there last time.

We sat in the car last fall with DS2.5. They brought him a booster so he could reach.

As to the highchair and sitting in a car... not sure...

When we took our girls at ages 2 and 4, they both sat in the car without boosters. We saw families with toddlers in high chairs and they just pulled them right up to the table/bar of the car the family was in :)

Thanks for the quick responses. Hopefully it will work for us and we will be able to eat in a car. So looking forward to the trip. It seems so far away.

When we took DS at 18 mo he sat in a booster and was squirming around so much I requested a highchair. They brought me one and we just pulled it up to our table. It worked just fine! So - yes - you can still sit in the car.

Also, I would request when you arrive for your ADR's that you want to sit in a car. They will probably do their best to honor that request...

Best of luck!

All the seats for this restaurant are cars. I never saw any tables? Have been there twice with a 3rd coming in a week. Maybe someone can clarify if there are also tables?

Yes, there are a few tables in the back of the restaurant.

You can request to sit in a car - it just may take a little longer to be seated instead of "first available." I think it is worth the wait. My kids loved eating here!

They also have tables that are between the two ends of the car that you could easily pull a high chair up to. When we checked in for our ADR they gave us a choice between the ones where you sit in row facing the screen or the other type. We chose the one with the regular tables so we would have more room for our food and we could easily share the appetizers without having to hand them back and forth over heads. The only thing with that arrangement was you had to turn in your seat to watch the movie or look sideways at the screen.

We dined there last visit with a 1 y/o and 3 y/o. The 3 y/o had no problem reaching in the car without a booster and they pulled a highchair (with tray) right up to the edge of the car where I was sitting.
