Sci-Fi Seating Question

I just made reservations at Sci-fi for lunch for a party of five but they only could sit us in a car that does 3 and 2 ..which confuses me. How does that work?? Thanks.

It's probably going to be three people in the front seat (of the car) and two people in the back. You don't face each other at this restaurant. Your tables are laid out like the seats of a car.

I'm thinking that there are a limited number of cars for odd number parties. When we've gone (a party of four) we've been in a car that sits six - three seats for two people each. There are cars that have wider seats that would accommodate three people so I imagine those are the cars for your dining party.
