I would really like to try one of these places on our next trip, but since it will just be Hubby and I (no kids) and we have never eaten at either one, I just can't seem to make up my mind. Which do you think would be more fun for two grown-ups? (BTW- we do like to get silly once in a while, too!)

Thanks for the help.

My personal preference is for 50's Primetime Cafe. I love the atmosphere, and the food is pretty good.

I have really enjoyed both Sci-Fi and 50's Primetime, but one of my favorite restaurants in WDW is Sci-Fi. You can't go wrong with either.

You will probably have more fun at Sci-Fi. I would say 50's caters more to a kid atmosphere. I have nver had one bad experiece dining at the Sci-Fi.

It's always fun to watch the old movie trailers in the cars at Sci-Fi. Get the Big Bang for dessert.

I don't think you can really go wrong. They are both great places. I would suggest 50's Prime Time for dinner and Sci Fi for lunch or dessert.

Hubby and I took a weekend trip without the kids <gasp> last fall. We also debated between 50s PrimeTime and Sci-Fi. We had eaten at both places in the past with our kids, so we knew what we were in for.

We picked the 50s Prime Time because we wanted more of a "home-cooked meal" type of meal. We REALLY had a great time. The server was great fun without being embarrassing. She gave us trivia questions to work on while we were waiting for our food. The food was wonderful.

In short, this was one of the best meals of our trip and we'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Enjoy!

I think you'll have more fun at Prime Time if you don't mind the teasing.

We prefer Sci-fi. Be sure to stick with the BASICS: burger, rings, shakes.

We went to both...

At the 50s Primetime, our server made my husband stand with his nose against the wall because he had to be told 2x to put his napkin on his lap (you would think he would learn!). We were cracking up the whole meal.

At the Sci-Fi, we enjoyed the B-movie trailers. However, beware that you will probably be seated with others as the cars are made to seat 6 (2 in each row). My husband and I were in the back of a family of 4. It wasn't too bad.
