Sci Fi or Hollywood and Vine (lunch)??

Kids are 7 and 3....not so much into the characters at H&V but would prob know who they are.

I love Sci-Fi for lunch. Sitting in the cars, burgers, milk shakes. Fun and atmosphere are great. It is a little cool inside the restaurant. There are other buffets at home and WDW, but there are few restaurants that have a drive in movie inside.

I would recommend any restaurant over Hollywood and Vine. We and our friends have had unpleasant meals there. Scifi is a much better choice. My son was scared of SciFi when he was 4, but that may not be an issue for your kids. My favorite lunch locale for HS is 50s Primetime Cafe.

on the other hand:

I would say H&V because of the variety in the food (something for everyone at buffets) , we have had only good experiences at H&V everytime we ate there, and good interaction with characters for kids of that age. sci-fi I dont like the seating with kids ,the menu is good but thats it;the theming would be scary for some little ones.
My vote is for H&V.

I would definitely recommend Sci Fi... The atmosphere is great for two younger kids and probably more bang for your buck at the same time.

Sci-Fi is my vote. The theme is so much fun - my kids absolutely LOVED it!!! Can't say the same for Hollywood & Vine (have eaten there the past two years).

Unfortunately, I have to agree. I ate lunch at H & V about 4 years ago...had the worst stomach problems immediately after. I am sure it was just a fluke but something didn't agree with me! We love Sci Fi for lunch...the atmosphere is great and so is the lunch menu!

Sorry, I don't think it was a fluke! DH was sick after our horrible dinner there as well. Never saw a table cleared and this was in the 6PM range. Server came by and got drink order, dropped them off and never returned again. We had to flag down someone else for a refill. There was soft serve ice cream all over the floor, everything was sticky.

Sci Fi is a hoot especially if you're a child of the 60s and 70s like we are. Burgers and fries are good, the kids burger and kids grilled chicken were hits with my girls when they were younger, we pay oop and my almost 14year old and almost 16year old have never been denied the kids offerings.

It might not have been!! DH loved it though and wants to try it again for lunch/dinner. I keep stalling him. We have gone for bfast though with no probs and the complete opposite experience!

Sci Fi is my vote also.

H&V was the worst meal we had at Disney...thank goodness we had the free dining plan or I would have really felt cheated

Vote for Sci Fi here! I love that place! We're not hitting DHS this trip and I'm sad only because I'll miss Sci Fi.

In that case, DEFINITELY Sci-Fi. It's a fun restaurant and has a really good lunch.

not a huge fan of either--dd did not like being stuck in the car in the dark and trying to eat and I didn't really like the food----H&V buffet is just ok. I would go prime time
