sci fi or F! dining package at MM?

i've been dying to try sci fi because it looks really cool, but if we can have reserved seating for fantasmic by booking the package at mama melrose, then that may be worth it. where are the seats that are reserved located? what do you get with the package (app/entree/dessert/drink/what)?

I personally don't like Sci-Fi... you pay for the experience... the food is just so-so. I would DEFINITELY do the F! package over it!

As far as F! seating... it is off to the side a bit but no matter... its still guaranteed seating. Since they have limited to F! to two nights a week it is hard to get in unless you go 2 hours ahead of time. So it would be good to guarantee yourself a seat if you don't want to sit there for at least an hour and a half. I don't think there's too many bad seats in the house, of course I prefer to be in the middle but they make it so you can see it all. As far as what is included in the package... I am not sure?? I thought it was just ordering something off of the dinner menu? Maybe someone else can give you a definite answer.

We liked sci fi. We are doing the f package at MM for lunch and then dinner at sci fi next time since the f dinner packages are so early.

I prefer MM F! over Sci-Fi. Our family did MM last year for F! package and loved it. Our adr was early 1:30pm and food was pretty good and service was also good. We exited DHS after our meal and came back at night to just watch F!. Seat is in Witches section of the theatre which is towards the right side. And didn't have any problem with veiwing.

If you have your mind set on watching F! then definitely do package meal. I much prefer 30~45min wait to 1~2 hrs.

We went to Sci Fi for dinner last August then to Fantasmic without the package. We very much enjoyed our dinner at Sci Fi - but getting into Fantasmic without the package was a NIGHTMARE. We went to the second show of the night and it was just nuts...wall to wall people..heat..humidity..thunder and lightening..then they opened the gates and it was like the running of the bulls.
We have Mama Melrose F!Package booked for May. They could serve me red sauce on a sneaker and I would be ok with it if it means avoiding that mess again.

I also prefer MM over Sci-Fi because I think that the food quality is better. I again agree with others that the F! package is a sanity saver and worth doing if only to avoid the enormous crowds. The package at MM gets you an appetizer, an entree, a dessert, and a non-alcohoic beverage. When we last did the F! package, we were allowed to order anything off of the menu, but I don't know if that is still true.

Remember if you do the Fantasmic package you still have to get there early, around 45 minutes before the show, as about a half hour before the show they open the "reserved" section up to general public seating, if you are not already seated there and you show up after it is full you may not get seating even though you have the package.

Some guests also don't realize when they book the package that an entire section that is reserved - you don't get individual reserved seats - and that the public does end up being allowed to sit in that section eventually. Because of the popularity of Fantasmic the package does save you some time, but you can't walk in five minutes before the show starts and get good seats with the package either.

Do the fantasmic meal. Saves SOOOO much time waiting to get in! Sci-Fi we love for the experience and for us the food is quite okay. n But you can get in sci fi for the experience and a snack or drink mid day, or early if yo so choose. But sometimes that wait at Fantasmic is a killer, worth it....yes, but when you can be doing other things and then walk in when it is more convenient, YES. We have done it and it is great.

yes, it includes app, entree & dessert and it is a fixed price but I believe you still order right from the regular menu. It is $32.99/adults, 11.99/kids.

I am doing it for the first time when we go in 2 weeks. We also booked Sci Fi for lunch on our other HS day (its my son's fav park!) - first time doing that too.

We ate at Sci-Fi last year and it was a blast. The atmosphere in there is really awesome. The food--it sucked. It was really quite bad. Not even mediocre, just bad.

We experienced it, loved it, not going back.
