Sci-Fi or 50s Prime Time?

I hadn't originally planned on having a sit-down meal at DHS, but then I read a review of the new menu at Sci-Fi and I remembered how much I love the theme. I have a feeling the food at 50s is better (I've only been there once, probably 12 years ago) so now I'm wondering if I should try to get a lunch ADR there instead. My boyfriend has never been to the World, and I think he would get a kick out of the whole Sci-Fi experience... but I don't want to pay for sub-par food, either (we'll be OOP for this meal).

So, all that said, I'm looking for opinions... Sci-Fi or 50s? What do you think?

My vote is Sci-Fi! It is a must for our family every trip.

It is the only unanamous choice for my entire family every trip to Disney

We love the theme and the burgers and onion rings are delish! Don't forget to grab a shake or a piece of the red velvet cheesecake
(I can't recommend anything at 50's other than the PB&J shakes. The only 2 times that we tried 50's we had a couple of really horrible experiences.)

Thank you both for your input. So far, I think I'm sticking with Sci-Fi... though the fried chicken at 50s looks pretty amazing.

Ugh, so many restaurants to choose from. To bad our trip is only 7 days

Sci-Fi has a cooler atmosphere and theme (in my opinion) but there isn't a wide range of food items


50s prime time has delicious food , big portions, and fun wait staff


Both restaurants have the same milkshakes WHICH ARE AMAZINGGGGGGG

but if i had to pick one i'd probably tell you 50s prime time even though i love sci fi <3

Sci-Fi, I think is a safer bet ... so much of the experience at 50s PT is server dependent.

Since you're paying OOP, consider having shakes and sharing a couple of appetizers (or deserts).

That's exactly what I was thinking - just some apps and drinks. It seems a safer bet. We have dinner at Jiko that night, too, so I wouldn't mind just kinda grazing through the day until dinner time

We've been to Sci-fi 3x and LOVE it. I always hear people talk about the burgers and shakes. They are good but if you can eat a meal there try the shrimp and pasta. It really is excellent! I was a little hesitant about ordering it but was so glad I did!!! Super yummy give it a try.
We all Love the atmosphere here too it is one of our favs. and a must do each trip.
