Sci-Fi, Mama Melrose, or H&V

We have an ADR for Sci-Fi on our DHS day... I am a little worried about how the seating in the cars is because my kids are so young and we all can't really "sit together"...I hope that makes sense and I understand it.

I was thinking about "trying" to get a fanstasmic package at H&V or Mama Melrose... didn't know much about them and we are already having breakfast at H&V with the Playhouse characters that morning?

Suggestions?

You would be right in back/or front of your children in the same vehicle at Sci-Fi so I don't think it should be much of a concern.

We really enjoy our meals at Mama Melrose--we've always had very good service and good food (not excellent by any standards, but good!). We do not like H&V and it is one of only two restaurants at Disney that we will not go back to.

The issue is they are 2 & 3 and both always want to sit by me! We can probably survive though and DH can sit alone! lol

The three of you could probably fit together...but they may surprise you and want to sit together and you and DH behind/or in front when they see the neat cars and the film clips on the screen. I am sure you'll do just fine.

I agree dont miss out on Sci-Fil b/c you think kids may not be comfortable. They have cars big enough for them to sit with you or atleast one with you one with their dad and they also have picnic tables in the back if that is more comfortable just be sure and add that comment to your ADR if you want that and remind them at check in at the restaurant. Personally I though H&V was just nasty!

You can always ask for a "table car" at the Sci-Fi... We sat in one the first time we went because our son was still in a high chair and the other one was still very young... There are a few of those tables... They have the front and back of the car with a table in the middle... These tables of have chairs (ours had three chairs on each side)... It worked out very well for us...

We love the Sci-Fi... The food is not fancy and the menu is simple but we really enjoy what they do have and the atmosphere is amazing...

We have not been to H&V for dinner (only breakfast) because the menu does not appeal to us...

We have been to MM twice (second time was on the Fantasmic package) and we really did not like it either time... Service was okay and atmosphere is nice (nothing special).... The food was just not good (IMO) either time... We did not like it the first time but we always give a place second try... We wanted to the package so we selected MM for a second time... I don't think we will visit again for a long time.
