Do I need a reservation for this restaurant in early November, or could I walk up and hope to get in?

It is very popular and can be hard to even get ADRs.

If they can they will try to seat you but walk ups usually get the picnic tables at the back, not a car, especially if more than 2.

We eat there every trip, and since there is usually a wait even with an ADR, I have also seen them turn many away.

Remember too that for now there are 2 less eateries open, no one knows for sure when the place formerly known as Pizza Planet will open.

Definitely you NEED an ADR. And, odds are you still will wait.

It's super cute, though! And very reasonably priced.

It's our one place that my DD insists on going to most trips. Many birthdays of her have been here.

If you want to go there, book an ADR.

I think it depends when you go. My brother and his girlfriend walked in and got seated right away in September. Last time we ate there it was empty. I would make them just to be safe, but if it's not a crowded time I wouldn't stress with them.

We've been twice in early Nov. and while the parks aren't that busy- which is why we like to go- we have had lunch adr's both times and still waited. We heard CM's telling guests there were hour or longer waits. I would book an adr to make sure you get a car!

In the past you could, but not anymore. We saw people get turned away in November and they only had 2 people.

It is one of our favorite places. We also get reservations. Every time we have been, they were full with folks waiting to get in.

you really do need an ADR.
i don't know how many times i've seen walk ups turned away time after time after time i've gone.

i think they've become more efficient because the last time i went i only waited a few minutes to be seated vs previous times that i would wait at least 15 minutes and once or twice it was nearly a half hour.

and i think the pagers are helping the lobby area not get too overcrowded.

A notice to walk-ups: The Sci-Fi has dedicated tables for walk-ups, but they're not the standard cars. There are tables at the back of the restaurant that remind me more of old McDonald's tables. The seats don't have backs, and you're seated around the table so no guaranteed view of the screen without swiveling around.

On the plus side, this is part of the theming. The tables are meant to be like the seating that was available around the concessions booth at drive-in theaters. Still, I'm much happier in my car.

There is no way to predict. While waiting for our ADR I have seen them turn away all walkups and then suddenly start accepting walk ups 10 minutes later.

Prepare to wait even with a reservation....we missed out window by 15 minutes once....and waited an hour to get a seat.....

I've seen people walk in, but they don't get to sit in a car. They sit at a picnic table towards the back of the area. It's best to get an ADR.

It just depends that hasn't worked for us. I've tried that approach before, said we'd be willing to sit at on of the round tables in the back, and they said try again in an hour, they had no openings. When that happens - we go to Tune-In Lounge and wait until people leave, sit down at the bar and eat.

Yeah it's rare you can walk right up and get seated without a reservation. I walked right up one time and they offered me the picnic table and I took it. When they seated me, they put me in a car. The lady who sat us told me to not say anything and just enjoy the lunch. I was lucky that time.
