Since we want to see the Osbourne Family lights we are now planning on eating dinner in HS. Thinking Sci Fi Drive in might be fun with our 4 and 7 yo dds. Just wondering if perhaps the 4 yo is too young for it? Are the movie clips scary at all, is the seating too awkward for younger kids. TIA!

Not scary.

Campy.

We were there just last week with 4 and 7 year old grandsons. They got a kick out of both the movies and the seating. I sat in one seat with 7 year old, my daughter in the other seat with the 4 year old. They loved it.

My 4 year old LOVED Sci Fi. Nothing scary that we saw.

I have an extremely high anxiety four year old and she loves it. We love going there because it's cool, dark, and all my children seem to sit and watch the screen mesmerized so it ends up being a great break in the middle of a busy day.

Not even remotely scary. Some of the car tables have chairs instead of the benches. 3 on each side. You can always ask for one of them if you are concerned about the seating.

My oldest is also a pretty anxious kid. She is kind of bothered by sci fi because it is sort of dark in there. That is the only thing i can see might be scary.

My 4 year old grandson loves it. He's been many times. He thinks the previews are old and funny. He's right, they are!

The clips are B&W and campy and not very loud over the din of people eating.
The lighting is very low in there...DS doesn't like the dark and when we first took him to Disney I noticed the couple of restaurants we went to that had low lighting he didn't like and was very restless and cranky. So we haven't gone to Sci Fi for that reason. If your kids are OK with the dark or low-lit areas then they should be fine. Eating in the cars is fin for kids as well.
