sci fi diner --- how is it?

Just went a month ago for the first time and were pleasantly surprised at how good the burgers are!!! The service and atmosphere were both great as well.

We ate at Sci-Fi for lunch in May. We really enjoyed it! Loved the atmosphere, the service was excellent, and the food was very good too. The best milkshakes in all of WDW!

Our son loves the Sci-Fi so we go every year. The food is nothing to write home about but the atmosphere is unique. Because there's three of us, my son and I always sit together in one seat and my husband sits behind us in the "car."

my husband and i went recently and thought it was great! food isn't gourment but it's certainly good. he had the pasta and i had the chicken sandwich. he loved his chocolate shake. i was actually kind of disappointed with my vanilla shake but my apple tart dessert more than made up for it!

We went 11/21 for our first visit. The food was not bad - same as other posters. Be careful - our DD9 was terrified of the movies. The car next to us also had a girl crying because of the man who grew too fast and became a large monster. It can be scary for young children. I had to take our daughter out of the theater - ruined my dinner. We will never go back. She still talks about how horrible that place was.

It's funny how the opinions re the food can be so diverse! I mean, not even close LOL. Like some others posted above, we tried the burgers because of the people who rave about them, and we had a terrible experience. We even tried them again last trip and they were the same as before. I wonder if it just depends on what chef is cooking that day or the meat they have for that day......anyway, we are going back again (!) because our kids love the atmosphere. I was studying the menu and thought I'd try the shrimp pasta this time.

This was always a must do for us. But the dinner menu has went down hill so bad we don't go anymore and we LOVED this place. Just my opinion .

TJA, I've had the shrimp pasta and the sauce is sub-par. I'm sort of an Italian food snob but, honestly, the sauce doesn't have any flavor whatsoever. Their salads are good...

Oh boy, LOL. Someone else mentioned to not try the shrimp pasta too, so maybe I will go with the salad. I heard they give quite a chunk of an actual lettuce head, so that may be the way to go! Thanks for the heads-up.

TJA, the only thing that we enjoyed from our entire meal was the DH's BLT soup. Maybe go with that.
