Thinking about Sci-Fi. I know the older kids will love it, but could it be scary for little kids (3 and under)? What movies do they play? Any possibly scary ones?

They must not be too bad, DD has been going there since she was 3 and she is 5 now ( 3 trips). They are silly B Movies everytime we go and honestly I don't pay any attention. I go because I like the ribs there.

Our little boy who turned 2 on our trip in April loved Sci-Fi although I think it was mostly because of the light up Cars toy in his drink. The movies are not scary...more funny than anything and kind of old fashioned. The food was good and the service was great! I would highly recommend Sci-Fi.

Don't worry, you won't see anything like "Alien" or "Predator". It's just trailers from all those goofy old 50's sci-fi movies with incredibly fake-looking monsters and robots. I can't imagine that they'd scare any child unless they were extremely sensitive.

The clips are sort of playing in the background , there's all the usual restaurant bustle going on around you, and the kids' attention is focused on the food anyway.

I agree--some of the clips can be scary because there are huge bugs and crazy looking monsters, plus alot of screaming--but if you don't focus on those for your small kids and just let them enjoy the surroundings and occasionally glance up at the screen, they should be ok. I don't want you to underestimate the impact of those old B movies though. I still remember being freaked out while watching the Outer Limits with my grandmother when I was probably too little :scared1:

Our 18 month old did fine...he paid attention to his food. I think there's a couple pictures in my trip report below. The pictures are on page 1 & 2.

My husband wishes they were more than clips.....he loves those old movies.

In the past, I would have said maybe but it's been so tamed down I was embarrassed when I took two first-timers (21 & 19) there last year. We won't be returning. It's mostly cartoons and snack bar commercials. Not very Sci-Fi at all.

We had ADRs in November with DS6 & DD2. Neither was concerned with the movie clips, just with their milkshakes & food.

We were there last May (DS2 & DS6) neither of them seemed to be bothered by any of the clips. They actually thought it was funny (the 2 year old didn't really understand). They did however really enjoy Tom & Jerry; now they watch it every weekend morning. As long as the darkness doen't bother them you should be fine:goodvibes
