We had wanted to eat at Sci Fi for several years and finally did this past October. Well, never again.
The fun ambiance is definitely the reason to eat here.
I agree Disnut. And I knew this going in. But still, we spent like $40 bucks before tax and tip, and nothing was very tasty at all.
We had the Spinach Artichoke dip to start, and it was easily the worst spinach artichoke dip I've ever had. It was watery in consistency and tasted the same. $9 bucks down the tubes.
I had the mixed greens salad. It was one of the most lackluster salads I've ever had. Also watery tasting and just blah. On our drive to Disney World, I had a side salad at Cracker Barrel that put this one to shame.
My husband had the reuben. According to him, it was ok. My daughter had the mac and cheese. It was typical Disney mac and cheese.
The ambience is unique, obviously, but IMO not unique enough to justify (a) the high cost of the lackluster, blah food, nor (b) taking up the spot of one of your Disney dining experiences, since there are so many great experiences out there.
Paying that bill was kind of painful. I don't mind paying for good food, but I felt sad leaving that place.
P.S. The service was the worst we had that week. We felt "forgotten" most of the time.
Just never again.
