We have adr there but most of the reviews I have read are not great. I thought ds(4) would enjoy the atmosphere. I am wondering if I should cancel. Last visit we ate at Mama Melrose's and I just thought we should try something new. Any opinions???

I love the place - the atmosphere is so cool and well themed that it's a must do, IMO. My parents said they has some bad meals there when we were kids but do I remember that? Heck no - I remember how cool it was! And they remember how much we loved the place so the food quality fades away.

That said, I've dined there several times as an adult and had great meals. You won't find a restaurant on here that doesn't get bad reviews on a consistent basis. Disney quality is inconsistent - but the atmosphere here is consistent and very good.

If you are going to this restaurant primarily for the atmosphere, I would definitely keep the ADR's. However, if food quality would be an important factor I would skip Sci-Fi and try Mama Melrose or a restaurant at the Boardwalk.
