Sci-Fi Dine in Theater in HS

We (DH & I) enjoyed it, sitting in the backseat of a convertible having burgers & shakes at a "drive in" was a lot of fun. Especially since we can remember when there actually WERE drive ins.

Totally agree. Last week, we just decided to go to Disney World for Memorial Day weekend and Sci Fi was my only request for food. But, it's all booked up so I had no choice but to get it for the July 4th weekend.

If you've been to a drive in movie theater, you'll appreciate the memories. If you've never been to a drive in movie theater, this is as close as you're going to get but it does have air conditioning. Excellent place for a relaxing meal.

The film clips run about 45 minutes and we've found that it takes about that long for the meal so we're not sitting there constantly watching the same thing over and over again.

This is a must do for my family!!! The burgers and milk shakes are wonderful!!!

This is my 11 year old's favorite place to eat! My only complaint is that we are a party of 3, so one of us has to sit in the back of the car all by our lonesome.

It's a great restaurant for its theming. I'm glad we tried it, and we didn't even have kids in our group. The biggest downfall of this restaurant is the seating arrangement -- you sit in cars and your party will not be facing you since you're all facing the movie screen. It's not the kind of restaurant where you can easily chat. Just so you're aware.

We enjoyed the food...onion rings were very good (according to my parents) and we enjoyed our gluten-free Reubens. The waiter was pretty terrible...well, I'm not actually sure if he was overloaded with tables or if he was just scatterbrained. Our food took forever to come because he didn't submit the order right away, and he forgot to input our appetizer order. When we eventually got our food we asked where our app was and he said he forgot and would input it now...we said never mind since we already had our food. He felt bad so he gave us free milkshakes which wasn't at all necessary but it was a nice gesture.

It was wonderful to get out of the heat and be in a cool, dark place. I probably wouldn't go back since I consider it a once-and-done place but it is absolutely worth going! I'm glad we went and it was fun seeing the night sky (stars) and the crazy movie trailers and commercials.

We rarely eat out, we tend to pack most of our food. But we are trying to plan a few lunches or dinners out for the kids. Some of their requests are BOG, Rainforest Café, ESPN Zone. Those we know from experience. But we came across the Sci-Fi. What is it like? Do they show full movies, or just clips? We're debating between that and doing dine-in theater at the theater in Disney Springs.

I would definitely do sci-fi, we all loved it last time. Really cool theming. I would also do Trex over rainforest café, we did both last time and they have a similar kind of theme going on but we liked trex better.

I love Sci Fi. It is definately worth the expereionce . They have a pretty good burger. Definately great for some AC and a beverage adult or kid variety!

Love it! Probably the best themed restaurant at Disney.

Galactic Breakfast was just during Star Wars Weekends but we got lucky to have the special breakfast the offered this winter. Great food and great deal! I'm hoping it comes back again.

You've convinced me! I just made an ADR for a lunch. My DD and niece love burgers, and this will be a nice break in the middle of HS touring.

I'm sure you'll love it - burgers, shakes and drive in movies are a sure fire hit for the kids - one of the really memorable dining experiences - we go back every trip!

I think it's fun for everyone, but especially for those of us old enough to remember going to drive-in movies.

We tried a few years back and have not gone back since. I thought it was just ok at best. I would not put this on a must try list.
