Sci Fi Dine In... Party of Two Front Row?

Last month I traveled with my two daughters and we we're assigned the second and third row of the car. The front row was a party of two. In my past experience, "hitch-hikers" were assigned the third row. I'm wondering if it's OK to request a front row of a car for a party of two? I'm a local and will be going with my husband next month.

I’ve been twice and both times as a party of two and sat in the front row without making any special request. When you check in you can mention you’d be willing to wait for a front row and see what they say
