Sci-fi dine in or 50's primetime

Love both, but would pick the drive in over the clean plate club.

I'm going to vote Sci-Fi all the way. The theming is terrific, the clips are funny (and what kid doesn't love giant monsters?), and it's a fun little taste of an experience that's rapidly vanishing in real life: being with the family at the drive-in.

50's is way, way too hit-or-miss. The idea is that your server is your mom/dad/whatever, and your dining party are sitcom characters. If you're into this, and your server is a good actress, it might be a fun experience. If you just want to eat (which is -and this is important- usually the feeling most little kids have at a restaurant), and/or your server isn't into it either, you are in for a very long mealtime.

I personally didnt think the food at 50's was all that great. The fried chicken was very very salty, and i normally love salt. Even the table next to us said the same thing. I wasnt impressed at all. I felt a bit rushed at this place too. It was fun thou, my server played the part. But honestly, 3 & 6 are too young to appreciate the antics at this place. I would go to Sci Fi. I LOVE SCI FI!!!! The atmosphere cant be beat. your sitting in a car-convertible and eating movie clips!!! It cant get better than that!! And the movie clips are cheesy, not scary at all. Theyre fun to watch for sure! I love the food. But please dont expect a gourmet variety....this is a drive-in for petesake. Their ribs are SOOOOO GOOD! I love them! Cheeseburgers, onion rings, and shakes are also very delish. This is my son's fave place.....mine too!

The kids would enjoy Sci Fi more than 50's. Most of the stuff at 50's will go over their heads and it is more entertaining for older kids, etc. Younger kids are usually more shy and don't understand the sarcasm/humor of the Primetime (obviously, there are always exceptions).

Now, the food is better at Primetime, but that is secondary to the kids anyway...LOL
