I am a teacher and my school was closed today as we did not have enough non striking adults to open the school safely. However we had to make sure we sent work home for the children to do today and the teaching staff went into work to catch up on paper work etc. In our area refuse collection was still taking place though but the local swimming pool and 2 sports centres were closed.
