Schools Open/Closed on Tues?

I was wondering if schools will be closed on Tues. due to the National Day of Mourning?

I have no idea my kiddie doesnt start back from the holidays till the 3rd and the parish next to us ( county to most of you) doesnt start back until the 8th so it doesnt affect us.

it is our first day back and nothing has been posted to the website, so I assume they are open....

DSister and I are still on winter break(college) so does not apply

Our school system has the extra day (they go back wednesday) since Christmas fell on a day during their winter break.

We are suppose to go back on Tuesday. We are probably open Bloomberg doesnt close for anything.

My kids are due to go back on the 2nd and I'm sure it will stay that way. It really would be too late to inform people that they will close school on Tuesday. A lot of people go away at this time and may not find out there is no school until literally the night before. There really wouldn't be enough time for them to make babysitting arrangements if both parents work.

Doesn't effect us either. DS's school has Tuesday as part of their Christmas break. He doesn't go back until Wednesday, the 3rd.

My DDs go back to school on the 4th. And the way they're acting today, I wish it was much sooner.

I highly doubt our district will be off on the 2ond. We don't even get off for Martin Luther King Day.

Since I haven't seen anything posted on the county website, I'm assuming the kids are still due to return on Tuesday! DH, on the otherhand, has an extra day off!

My kids are due to return to school on Tuesday, January 2nd. I haven't heard anything about extending it another day. I guess I'll check their websites.

Our district website doesn't say anything. So, looks like DD will be going back on the 2nd.

OUr county winter break goes until January 8th, so they are already out.
