school bread is just one of the most wonderful things ever ever to cross my lips. It is a not to sweet bun filled with wonderful cream, topped with more and toasted coconut.

I agree with the previous poster. It is devine. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a nice yummy latte.

Skolebrod is one of the most amazing treats ever. It's a Norwegian sweet yeast bread enriched with cardamom and filled with creme patissiere and then iced with a powdered sugar icing and sweetened coconut.
It is a not to be missed delight
and if you ask they will gladly give you the recipe but it is also readily available on the web. for me it's right up there with beignets,turkey legs and glazed nuts and I'll be eating massive amounts in 14 days

I finally got to try Schoolbread at our princess lunch at Norway in August. It wasn't good at all. I think ours must have been stale. The cream was really good, but there wasn't much of it and the bread part was so dry. I was really disappointed, since I heard they were so delicious. I guess we should've asked for another one, maybe it would have been fresher.

We had the same thing happen to us last year at the princess Norway dinner. I wonder if maybe the desert for the princess lunch or dinner is just rushed and not as good as the counter service, because the one I had at counter service was good, though it was pretty small.
